Jakel Powell Jakel Powell 6'5" | SF Raleigh Christian Academy | 2024 NC – No. 30 to No. 18
Powell was a prospect that really came along on the wing as The Burlington School took home the 2A NCISAA State Crown. He’s most improved asset was his 3-point shooting, which stood out time and time again given his length at 6-foot-5. He’s got a bright future, look for his name to grow in the class.
Jah Short Jah Short 6'4" | CG Farmville Central | 2023 State NC – No. 38 to No. 20
Short played the third scorer well in the Farmville Central rotation and had a stellar run in the playoffs which led to him being named Most Outstanding Player in the title game with 23 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. He’s a 6-foot-3 guard that can finish at the rim with authority and defend with a ton of pressure.
Wesley Tubbs III Wesley Tubbs III 6'5" | SF TSF Prep | 2023 GA – No. 43 to No. 23
Tubbs is a growing name in the 2023 class at 6-foot-6 that does well to create off the bounce but is even more lethal as a playmaker and rebounder on the floor. He’s got nice length and a budding skillset that allows him to score on all three levels as well. He’s a name to track early.
Keenan Wilkins Keenan Wilkins 5'11" | PG Christ School | 2024 State NC – No. 32 to No. 24
Wilkins is an electric guard that filled up the stat sheet all season long for Hendersonville. He posted 28 points, seven steals and six assists despite falling to Farmville Central in the State Title game. He leads a crop of speedy guards that aren’t the biggest but they make up for it with their energy and effort.
Brandon Nelson Brandon Nelson 6'2" | SG Indian Land | 2023 State SC – No. 42 to No. 32
Nelson emerged as one of the top sharpshooters in the 2023 class following the high school season. He did work in the Ardrey Kell rotation while posting 6.4 ppg and shooting 31 percent from 3-point range off the bench. He’s a prospect to keep an eye one given his ability to attack off the bounce and defend the basketball.
Aden Taylor Aden Taylor 6'3" | CG Princeton | 2023 State NC – No. 50 to No. 36
Taylor was one of the top playmakers in the Princeton rotation, posting a team-high 5.8 apg, to go along with 10.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 3.7 spg. He’s an active combo guard in the Tigers backcourt due for a bright future in the 2023 class.
