Ty Williams Ty Williams 6'1" | PG Rock Creek Christian | 2022 State MD had a quality season at Rock Creek playing for Coach Trevor Brown. Williams displays all the traits of a high-level point guard. He is growing nicely into his body and playing above the rim consistently. Williams is very skilled. He shoots the ball well consistently from the perimeter but also gets to the rim with relative ease and converts free throws at an efficient rate. Williams exhibits a good feel for the game. He is good for a handful of assists per game and takes care of the ball. Because he is rangy, Williams is menacing on the defensive side. He anticipates well and is a resilient competitor.

Shaquille Samuels Shaquille Samuels 6'6" | PF Mt. Zion Prep | 2022 State MD is not yet at the peak of his powers, but he has gradually been adding jewels to his infinity gauntlet. At about 6-foot-5, maybe 6-foot-6 with muscle mass to boot, he is an absolute powerhouse who can is a tough proposition for most opponents who hope to defend. Samuels has the body of an inside player, but the dexterity of a guard. He is a triple threat and a one-man fast break. Samuels can naturally guard multiple positions and his physicality progressively wears down foes.

Jeremiah Littlejohn Jeremiah Littlejohn 6'4" | SF Rock Creek Christian | 2022 State MD is another up-and-comer who is benefiting from the tutelage of Coach Brown at Rock Creek. The lanky swingman is a gifted scorer who is an above-the-rim athlete. Littlejohn might not pass the initial eye test because of his slender frame, but you don’t have to watch him play for too long before you’re intrigued by his expanding offensive repertoire and defensive potential.

Cam’ron Brown Cam’ron Brown 5'10" | PG Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State MD has been strikingly consistent since he first emerged on our radar as an underclassman at Rock Creek. He’s a true point guard who plays solid defense and looks to pass first. Brown generally plays a tenacious brand of basketball. He consistently brings the spark that helps his team win more often than not.

Ifanieye Lewis Ifanieye Lewis 6'0" | PG Eleanor Roosevelt | 2022 State MD is a natural leader who is one of the better defenders you’ll find at the lead guard spot. His older brother, Olumide Lewis Olumide Lewis 5'9" | PG Eleanor Roosevelt | 2020 State MD , taught him how to compete hard and play the game the right way. It appears that the lessons have paid off. The younger Lewis is playing his best basketball right now and will only continue to improve as he grows into his body.

Coach Singletary often deploys Chris Gamble Chris Gamble 6'1" | CG Sidwell Friends | 2022 State MD on the opposing team’s best perimeter player, usually to great effect. Gamble is a good athlete. He is strong and has a low center of gravity, which helps him get under taller players and disrupt their rhythm. Gamble’s quickness and anticipation help regularly him stymie similar-sized foes. One of the reasons why he is moving up is the development of his offensive game. Gamble is adept at getting paint touches and has become efficient from 15 feet and in. His three-point shot looks more and more consistent as well. It’s clear that whatever work Gamble has been putting in during the pandemic is paying dividends.

Quinn Clark Quinn Clark 6'6" | PF Gonzaga | 2022 State MD was one of the more consistent players for Gonzaga this winter. He was an absolute rock for Coach Turner this winter, in part because of his consistently high effort level. Clark attacked the glass with aggression and was rewarded with multiple bunnies per game as a result. He finished more often than not through traffic. Clark routinely provided his team with a spark whenever and however they needed it.
#38 | Dylan Williamson Dylan Williamson 6'0" | CG Good Counsel | 2022 State MD | Previous Rank: 52
It’s a shame that there was no postseason in the WCAC because this Good Counsel squad had cinderella written all over it. Dylan Williamson Dylan Williamson 6'0" | CG Good Counsel | 2022 State MD would’ve certainly played a big part in any type of run they might’ve had. Williamson is skilled with a quick first step and some wiggle off the bounce. It’s also refreshing that he gives just as much effort on the defensive side as he does on offense.
#43 | Malachi Briscoe Malachi Briscoe 6'6" | PF St. Mary's Ryken | 2022 State MD | Previous Rank: 67
Malachi Briscoe Malachi Briscoe 6'6" | PF St. Mary's Ryken | 2022 State MD is a hidden gem that is developing nicely at Ryken. He plays bigger than his listed height in part because of his length and athleticism. Briscoe is an above-the-rim player on both ends with a motor and toughness that coaches look for.
#52 | Miles Hicks Miles Hicks 6'0" | PG St. Albans | 2022 State MD | Previous Rank: 62
Miles Hicks Miles Hicks 6'0" | PG St. Albans | 2022 State MD still has a ways to go, but the tools are there for him to be a high-level college point guard. He’s probably more gifted physically than even he realizes at this point. Hicks has grown from a compact speed merchant into a bigger guard who is now pushing 6-feet. Hicks regularly keeps his dribble under pressure. He shoots it well from the perimeter and the foul line. Hicks is a good distributor of the ball as well. His game and mind is still growing along with his body, so it’s unclear where his ceiling is right now.
