Prep Hoops Maryland recently updated its class of 2021 rankings, and now it’s time to take a closer look. Here is a breakdown of the DC Area’s 10 biggest stock risers.

#30 | Brian Ayafor Brian Ayafor 6'5" | PF Rock Creek Christian | 2021 State MD | Rock Creek Christian | Previous Rank: #66

Brian Ayafor Brian Ayafor 6'5" | PF Rock Creek Christian | 2021 State MD enjoyed a productive winter playing on winning teams in multiple leagues. One of the things that makes Ayafor so effective is his versatility. Despite being relatively undersized, he plays above-the-rim on both ends of the floor. Ayafor protects the rim and he attacks the glass with aggression. He is also mobile enough to switch on the perimeter defensively. Offensively, Ayafor is best when getting downhill. He has an explosive first step and is strong with the ball. You don’t want to be late on your rotation when Ayafor is charging down the lane because he is probably looking to finish emphatically.

#33 | Malcolm Dread Malcolm Dread 6'3" | SF Gonzaga | 2021 State MD | Gonzaga | Previous Rank: #52

Malcolm Dread Malcolm Dread 6'3" | SF Gonzaga | 2021 State MD has grown into a tremendous leader. The confidence he is playing with is evident in his positive body language and calm temperament. Dread’s perimeter jumper has improved. Both the spot-up three and the mid-range
