Continue reading for a look at a couple of top performers from the regular season at the 1A DI level.
Charlie DeBoer Charlie DeBoer 6'6" | PF Riverstone | 2021 State ID , Riverstone International: Standing at 6’6″, DeBoer is a versatile player that can play with his back to the basket, or step back and hit the outside jumper off of a pick and pop. Charlie is a great scorer and rebounder and is averaging close to 20-points per game and shooting the ball at a nearly 50% clip on the season. He has a great feeling for the game and he always gets into the correct position on the court for easy put-back opportunities. In the paint, Charlie finishes with authority at the rim and he loves to finish with both hands and through contact. From outside, DeBoer has great shooting mechanics and he also does a great job of reading the defense after setting screens to find an open spot on the floor where he can knock down the basket.
Titus Yearout Titus Yearout 6'3" | PG Lapwai | 2022 State ID , Lapwai: Yearout, ironically, still has another year of high school basketball to play after this season finishes. He has been putting all of his skills and abilities on full display throughout the season and is leading the Lapwai Wildcats in nearly all statistical categories. He is a deadly scorer at all levels and routinely knocks down step-back three’s, and he is also capable of driving into the heart of the defense where he finishes with ease at the rim. When not scoring, Yearout does an excellent job of setting his teammates up to score by dishing out spectacular assists and grabbing rebounds to start a fast break. Titus will be a fun player to watch compete at the next level.
