While still a long way to go, we wanted to take this time to recognize some of the players putting together monster statistical seasons. In this article, we take a look at the top rebounders in the state.
Sam Andrew 6’3 SG Rowland – Hall 2022 (#23PHU 2022) – The smallest guy on the list has been the most consistent. Andrew hasn’t left a game once this year without pulling down double-digit boards. Although standing only 6’3 he’s managed to corral nearly 15 rebounds per game.
Paora Winitana Paora Winitana 6'6" | PG American Heritage | 2021 State UT 6’6 PG American Heritage 2021 (#36PHU 2021) – One of the most intriguing players in the state, continues to display his versatility. Winitana stuffs the stat sheet and that includes rebounding. The point forward has put together some mind-blowing numbers including a 25 board performance against American Leadership Academy.
Quinton Jones Quinton Jones 6'5" | C North Summit | 2021 State UT 6’7 C North Summit 2021 (#121PHU 2021) – Jones is an equal opportunity glass cleaner. The 6’7 forward grabs nearly as many offensive boards as he does defensive ones en route to his nearly 11 per game average. He’s had 6 games where he recorded 5 offensive rebounds or more.
Ethan Potter Ethan Potter 6'8" | SF Layton | 2021 State #194 Nation UT 6’8 PF Layton 2021 (#3PHU 2021) – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again UVU is getting a steal. Potter has put up monster numbers across the board, perhaps none more impressive than his 11 boards per. He’s gotten better as the season’s gone on, evident by his 20 rebounders performance in his last outing.
Justin Rogers 6’5 Tooele 2021 – It’s surprising to think that Tooele is only averaging 10rpg. The bruising post has put together some monster rebounding games including multiple 18 point performances. He’s been strong all season putting together 12 total double-digit rebounding games on the year.
