Brian Waddell Brian Waddell 6'5" | SF Carmel | 2021 State IN / Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN (Carmel)
Carmel’s duo of Waddell and Suder is extremely underrated as neither player is extremely ‘flashy’ with their style of play, but both are efficient and effective.
Waddell is a hard-nosed wing who can play inside or out. He has a good ability to knock down the outside shot, even with a bit of an unorthodox form and slower release. His size, at 6-foot-6, and good length allows for him to shoot above opponents. He is a very good attacking wing as well who can finish through contact.
For Suder, his play has come on strong this season. He is terrific on the ball and has a very good mid-range pull up jumper. His size gives him the ability to play a few different positions on the wing and his skillset provides versatility to the lineup.
D’Ante Davis D’Ante Davis 6'7" | SF Warren Central | 2022 State #132 Nation IN / Malik Stanley Malik Stanley 6'0" | PG Warren Central | 2021 State IN (Warren Central)
Warren Central has a few potentially strong duos on the perimeter but the combo of Davis and Stanley is extremely strong. The duo combine to score around 30 points per game in a variety of ways.
Davis is your typical athletic wing who is a terrific slashing perimeter player. He can handle the ball, but it is more to attack the rim than it is to create space for an open jumper. He has become increasingly more effective as a rebounder as well.
For Stanley, the career 1,000+ point scorer has given up some of his scoring ability with the addition of Davis this season after he averaged over 20 a game as a junior. The 6-foot guard is a blur in transition and has a great ability to create separation for his shot. He also shows great toughness attacking the rim despite his size.
Amhad Jarrard Amhad Jarrard 6'4" | SG Mt. Vernon-Fortville | 2022 State IN / Armon Jarrard Armon Jarrard 6'2" | PG Mt. Vernon-Fortville | 2022 State IN (Mt. Vernon)
The Jarrard brothers come in with great size and versatility in the backcourt. Both at least 6-foot-3, Armon is a bit more of a fluid athlete who utilizes his length and athleticism against opponents. He is very shifty with his ball handling and can create a lot of opportunities off of the bounce.
Amhad is a bit more built than Armon. He isn’t going to blow you away with speed or athleticism but he has a very well-rounded game. He is better on the ball as someone who can create for himself or teammates.
Both are averaging around 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Tucker Biven / Kaden Stanton (New Albany)
A very underrated backcourt, despite putting up close to a combined 35 points per game is the duo of Stanton and Biven.
Biven is a terrific shooter who knows how to use screens to his advantage. He does a great job at reading his defender and popping out for an open look. He has become increasingly better off of the dribble and attacking the basket as well.
Stanton is a very under control point guard who is always in control of the game, rarely being forced to play at a speed other than his own. The lefty is a very good shot creator, with the ability to score at all three levels.
