Who will win Senior Athlete of the Year in your Region? All these questions will be answered in the coming weeks. Make sure you keep a close eye on these tough teams.
Here are the ND Class B Power Rankings, a list of #1 to 10.
1. Four Winds/Minnewaukan – 18-1. The Indians finished their regular season last night and will spend the coming week getting ready for the playoffs. On Tuesday, they took down Warwick 119-37. On Saturday, the Indians defeated Shiloh Christian 61-45. The top players for the Indians are Bronson Walter Bronson Walter 6'10" | C Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2021 State ND , Jaeshaun Shaw Jaeshaun Shaw 5'11" | SG Four Winds | 2021 State ND , Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND , Keldon Keja Keldon Keja 5'10" | PG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2021 State ND , Caelen Lohnes Caelen Lohnes 6'1" | SF Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2021 State ND , Jonah Jackson Jonah Jackson 6'1" | SF Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2021 State ND , and Jacob LaRock. Four Winds is the favorite to win Region 4.
2. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier – 18-1. The Rebels are done with their regular season. The only blemish on their record comes from Ellendale who is also in District 5. This week the Rebels beat Wyndmere/Lidgerwood on 63-59 on Tuesday. On Thursday, they took down Medina/Pingree-Buchanan 77-48. Alex Huber Alex Huber 6'6" | SF Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier | 2021 State ND scored his 1,000-career point on Thursday. The Rebels have their sights set on another Region Championship and a trip to Minot for the State Tournament.
3. Enderlin – 16-3. The Eagles picked up two more wins this week. On Monday, they took down Sargent County 75-52. The Eagles beat Oak Grove 73-69 on Friday night. Coming up the Eagles play the Vikings from Kindred on Friday to decide who is the #1 seed in Region 1. Joe Hurlburt Joe Hurlburt 6'10" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State #147 Nation MN and Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND are the leaders and stat fillers for the Eagles.
4. Beulah – 16-4. The Miners collected two more victories this week. On Thursday they had an overtime victory against Bishop Ryan 72-66. On Saturday, the Miners bested Beach by a score of 86-53. Beulah has one game left in the regular season. Friday night, they finish the season with a rivalry game at Hazen. The Miners are led by All-State player Trey Brandt Trey Brandt 6'1" | PG Beulah | 2022 State ND .
5. Langdon/Edmore/Munich – 16-2. The Cardinals played just one game this week. They had a large margin victory over Griggs-Midkota 85-38. The Cardinals finish their regular season tomorrow at Grafton. Grant Romfo Grant Romfo 6'1" | SF Langdon/Edmore/Munich | 2021 State ND and Simon Romfo Simon Romfo 6'1" | SG Langfond-Edmore-Munich | 2021 State ND are the top players for the Cardinals. Langdon/Edmore/Munich has a tough road ahead of them if they plan on winning Region 4. If anyone can overcome the odds, this would be the squad to do it.
6. Grafton/St Thomas – 17-2. The Spoilers played two games this week and won two games. On Thursday they clashed with Midway/Minto and came away with a tight win 78-77. On Saturday Grafton beat North Star/Starkweather. This coming week Grafton has two tough games ahead of them. On Monday, they host Langdon/Edmore/Munich in a top 10 battle. They finish the regular season on Friday against Thompson. The top players for the Spoilers are Stevan Garza Stevan Garza 6'2" | SG Grafton | 2021 State ND , Justin Garza Justin Garza 5'11" | SG Grafton | 2021 State ND , Luis Balderas Jr., Brandon Albrecht Brandon Albrecht 6'1" | SG Grafton | 2021 State ND , and William Jiskra William Jiskra 6'4" | SF Grafton | 2022 State ND .
7. Dickinson Trinity – 17-3. The Titans got back to their winning ways this week. On Monday, they beat Glen Ullin/Hebron 70-46. On Thursday, they took down Hazen 57-38. This coming Friday the Titans finish the regular-season at Kildeer. The lead players for Trinity are Cole Fitterer Cole Fitterer 5'11" | SG Dickinson Trinity | 2021 State ND , Tanner Soehren Tanner Soehren 6'3" | PF Dickinson Trinity | 2021 State ND , and Jacob Daniel Jacob Daniel 6'1" | SG Dickinson Trinity | 2021 State ND .
8. Powers Lake – 17-2. The Ranchers played three games this week and won them all. They beat Glenburn, New Town, and Parshall. All of them were comfortable victories. The Ranchers are done with regular-season play and will go into the playoffs as a #1 seed in District 16. Noah Fredrickson Noah Fredrickson 6'0" | SG Powers Lake | 2021 State ND and Tyson Enget Tyson Enget 5'11" | PG Powers Lake-Burke Central | 2023 State ND are the top players for Powers Lake.
9. Linton/HMB – 16-3. The Lions had a busy week and picked up three victories. They beat New Salem/Almont, Oakes, and Ellendale. The Oakes and Ellendale wins were huge as they are all in Region 3. The Lions are done with their regular-season schedule and they will have the #1 seed going into the District 6 Tournament. The top players for Linton/HMB are Lucas Schumacher Lucas Schumacher 6'2" | SG Linton | 2021 State ND and Carter Renz Carter Renz 6'3" | SF Linton/HMB | 2021 State ND .
10. North Broder – 15-2. The Eagles are the most underrated team in Class B. On Tuesday, they took down Drayton/Valley-Edinburg 69-42. The Eagles had a great win on Thursday over a surging Hillsboro/Central Valley team 72-47. They have one game left on the regular-season against Cavalier on Friday. Ayden Stainbrook Ayden Stainbrook 6'5" | SF North Border | 2023 State ND , Jaden Lee Jaden Lee 6'2" | SG North Border | 2021 State ND , and Trenton Cosley are the top players for the Eagles.
