Prep Hoops Michigan recently updated it’s prospect rankings for the senior class. It’s tempting to look at the top, but due to the depth of talent here in Michigan, there are star players deep into the list. We will look at some star post players outside the top 100 in the class of 2022.

Nick EllisNickEllis6'7" | PFGrand Ledge | 2022StateMI (PF, Grand Ledge)

Prep Hoops Michigan Raking:  #109

Ellis was incredibly impressive during showcases this fall, particularly Let’s Get Ready. He worked screen and rolls to perfection. Ellis set a solid screen and rolled to the rim ready to receive the pass. He’s a player that coaches need to keep an eye on.

Michael CalhounMichaelCalhoun6'5" | PFRiverview Gabriel Richard | 2022StateMI (PF, Riverview Gabriel Richard)

Prep Hoops Michigan Raking:  #119

Calhoun is the type of post player that I could see averaging a double-double someday. He’s a physically strong player and very coachable. Calhoun is the type of player that isn’t worried about doing the dirty work.

Mathew CoffeyMathewCoffeyPFMt. Clemens | 2022StateMI (PF, Mt. Clemens)

Prep Hoops Michigan Raking:  #121

With the loss of superstar JaVaughn HannahJaVaughnHannah6'4" | SGYpsi Prep | 2022State#110NationMI to Ypsi Prep, comes opportunities for other players to step up. This could be the case for Coffey.
