There’s still a lot of talent left in the 2021 class, especially in Tennessee.
Seniors are still looking for that one program to come knocking at the door with the right fit, the right plan for the next four years.
I know the NCAA has given current college athletes an extra year of eligibility, but there’s still room for one more athlete to help the program.
Here are six solid steals from the 2021 class.
Davon Barnes
DavonBarnes6'5" | SFCollierville | 2021StateTN, Collierville: I have been following Barnes’ recruitment closely. He currently holds offers from Oral Roberts and Southwest Tennessee Community College. The 6-foot-5 wing isn’t the most explosive, athletic prospect in the class but he’s strong and skilled enough to get to his spots on the offensive end. Barnes has good lateral movement and shouldn’t be tried at the rim.
Tadarius Jacobs
TadariusJacobs6'1" | CGBartlett | 2021StateTN, Bartlett: Jacobs is one of the most efficient prospects in the senior class. The 6-1 combo guard runs the floor well, knows how to finish in transition and knows how to play defense without reaching. Jacobs’ mid-range is close to perfection. He’s not missing too many shots inside the 3-point arc. Jacobs, former Memphis East High product, has

Kidtrell Blocker
KidtrellBlocker6'5" | CGTennessee Prep | 2021StateTN, Tennessee Prep: Blocker has been making a name for himself on Grind Sessions. He had 35 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 71-69 win over Eduprize Prep then followed up that performance with 31 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 69-56 win over PHHoenix Heat. The 6-5 shooting guard can score from different areas on the court. Blocker is very athletic, can knock down the 3 and has mastered the eurostep. At the moment, Blocker has mid-major offers and his recruitment has picked up this month, with programs like UNLV, West Virginia, Mount St. Mary’s, UT-Martin and Montana State showing interest.
Randy Brady, Hamilton Heights: Brady has been a stat filler this season for the Hawks. His performance against Bearden High School (17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals) was a small sample size of his scoring capabilities. Brady has good footwork, which has been one of his strongest attributes. The 6-5 shooting guard can shoot the 3, is deadly inside the arc and can be a mismatch due to his high basketball IQ. For the next four years, Brady is a solid option for a Division 1 program.
Grant HurstGrantHurst6'1" | CGCleveland | 2021StateTN, Cleveland: The Blue Raiders are clicking at the right time since they’re fully healthy and Hurst has played his part. A 6-1 combo guard with the ability to make a great pass, great shot or a great basketball play is more than good enough to help a program for the next four years. Hurst can fill up the stat sheet without highlight reels. He has improved under the guidance of head coach Reggie Tucker.
Kley McGowan
KleyMcGowan6'4" | SGCleveland | 2021StateTN, Cleveland: McGowan is another prospect that has improved each year under Tucker. The 6-4 shooting guard is one of the best shooters in the state. McGowan can score from different areas on the floor. Like Jacobs, the sniper takes a lot of great shots and doesn’t settle for outside shots. McGowan can handle the basketball and get into the lane. If he has the advantage on the block, McGowan’s step back jumper, with his sharp release, is going up.
