However, we did get a couple of games played so lets take a look at a feature game and a couple others that were played. Our featured game is McPherson and Buhler who brought their heated rivalry to the floor.
McPherson Survives a Wild 51-50 Win Over Buhler
The two teams had a great game, which was an absolute nail biter and fight to the finish, especially in the second half. Coming down to the final possession and a couple of missed free throws, McPherson was able to hold on to win the terrific matchup. It was an overall showdown between the Alexander’s on both sides.
Top Performers
Max Alexander Max Alexander 6'0" | PG Next Level Prep | 2022 KS , 6’ Point Guard, Buhler: Alexander quite simply, went off last night. Erupting for 37 of Buhler’s 50 points including 24 in the second half. The recently reclassed PG individually carried the offensive load for Buhler, shooting a terrific 14 of 21 from the field and 5 of 7 from 3. Being down 6 with 29 seconds left, Alexander launched two bombs off the bounce from near half court and drilled them both eventually giving Buhler a chance to win it on the last possession, where he made a terrific read and dished it off when help came, but they just fell short. He had the entire offesnive package going last night, the 3 ball, float game, and getting to the rim. Alexander has been on a tear, and last night shows how dangerous he and his Buhler team could be as we approach sub state.
Jayton Alexander, 5’10 Guard, McPherson, 2021: The cousin of the previously mentioned Max Alexander Max Alexander 6'0" | PG Next Level Prep | 2022 KS , Jayton was up for this matchup and played exceptionally well. On the season shooting about 35% from 3, he was feeling last night going 4 of 5 from distance and finishing with 19 points in the win. If Jayton can find some more of this play consistently down the stretch, watch out for Mac to potentially make a run.
Other Notables
Seth Madron Seth Madron 6'2" | SG Mcpherson | 2022 State KS , 6’2 Guard, McPherson, 2022: Madron was steady throughout the night, scoring at an efficient 7 of 11 from the floor and finished with 15 points. He did leave points on the board from the charity stripe, but he had a solid game, using his athletic agility well to get into gaps and make a presence at the rim.

Tyler Roth, 6’ Guard, 2021, Eisenhower: Was tremendous in the game, helping control tempo and got a lot of things going for the offense especially on not the best shooting night for him, getting the ball moving and finding other ways to impact the game. He finished with 8 points and 5 assists.
