#226 Kade Clark Kade Clark 6'4" | PF White County | 2021 State TN (White County)
The weakness for Kade as a basketball prospect is actually somewhat intentional on his behalf. Clark clearly devotes himself to the weight room and football. His physique, while wonderful for a football prospect, is too heavy for a college 2-guard and at his height that would be his ideal college position. He doesn’t play above the rim. That said, Kade is an important piece of the White County unit. Many of the highlights you witness on social media of Mr. Basketball-candidate Grant Slatten Grant Slatten 6'5" | SG White County | 2021 State TN began with a Clark defensive rebound and outlet pass.
Like most football players, Kade is unafraid of contact and rebounds with both skill and toughness. The senior can even hit some three-pointers, which surprises for a football lineman.
#227 Zack Markus Zack Markus 5'11" | PG Wilson Central | 2021 State TN (Wilson Central) @zackkmarkus14
Starting guard Zack Markus Zack Markus 5'11" | PG Wilson Central | 2021 State TN is averaging 14 points per game while shooting a sterling 45% behind the arc. Zack’s strengths include: hard-driving dribbling, quick feet, determination to win.
Markus is able to score on all three levels, but he finds most success from deep and at the free throw line. Of course he can bust out on the break with his speed.
#228 Jackson Tatum Jackson Tatum 6'3" | SF Perry County | 2021 State TN (Perry County)
Tatum defends the rim solidly, especially at the Class A level. His bounce is better than average and though he plays 3/4 for Perry County he projects as a 2/3. Tatum moves away from the basketball to provide wonderful floor spacing. His court awareness is a nice plus. Bryan College offered him in December.
#229 Brody Grubb Brody Grubb 6'2" | SF Grainger | 2021 State TN (Grainger)
Grubb provides Grainger with a do-everything wing. Throughout the season his averages hovered around 8 ppg, 3 rpg, and 3 apg. He can hit the outside shot or rebound for the cause. Grubb’s first step is decent. He plays with strong hands. Loose balls, 50-50 balls, tend to be secured by him. Grubb is not a blazing wing though he can get by some defenders by making a strong push with his legs. His hesitation is decent. Needs to improve off-the-ball movement.
#230 Nate Marsh Nate Marsh 5'8" | PG Heritage | 2021 State TN (Heritage)
Solid free throw shooter. Nate can hit his mid-range. His major weakness as a college prospect is his lack of positional size. If Marsh were 6-foot-3, then he would be a decent college combo guard. Marsh does provide value at the high school level as a reliable scorer and slightly above offensive initiator.
