PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your game?
SL: “I would describe my game as very mature and crafty. I think I am an elite-level scorer and really think I can score at any level. I’m a better defender than recognized and know what to do when I’m on the court.”
PH: What is the most underrated part of your game?
SL: “My athleticism is my most underrated aspect. I’ve really grown into my body as of recent, my vertical has really increased and I play above the rim now. I promise you I’m going to shock people with how bouncy I’ve gotten.”
PH: Where are you most comfortable on the court?
SL: “As of recent I’ve really become comfortable handling the ball. It was all about confidence and decision-making for me. I really enjoy catching in iso situations and going to work one on one and finding cutting teammates.”
PH: Who, if anyone, do you watch and try to emulate on the court?
SL: “When I was younger, I really liked Sam Dekker. His slashing abilities and his whole game. As of recent I’ve really found myself studying Luka Doncic’s game and the way he makes reads.”
PH: Why will you be a better player in college than in high school?
SL: “I think it’s undeniable that my strides this senior year have been huge and I’ve reached new heights with my game that were unexpected. I think a couple of years into college I am going to be scary and I really mean that. I’m letting the game come to me and to be candid, I have been showing out.”
