Andreas Engholm (2023 6-7 SF, Olympia HS)
After their star PG went down, Andreas really put the team on his back and did it all. He consistently knocked down spot-up 3s. He showed his ability to lead the break after rebounds and play-make for his teammates. Whenever smaller defenders were on him he punished them inside. He even showcased his ability to hit the middy pull-up. He impacted the defensive end as well by snagging down boards and blocking shots. Big stock riser in 2023.
Dru Clark (2021 5-9 PG, Port Angeles HS)
Dru is a crafty PG. He plays at his own pace and is never in a hurry. His tight handle helped him blow by defenders to get in the lane often. When he got in there he showed his bag of off-hand and off-foot finishes. He has good court vision and he hits the spot-up 3. I was impressed with his confidence as a shooter. Even if he missed a few in a row, he wasn’t afraid to take the big shots for his team.
Chester Brackebusch (2021 5-7 PG, Cedarcrest HS)
Chester played the perfect floor general role all weekend. He showed good handles and rarely turned the ball over. His quick first step had him living in the lane. I was impressed with his patience and how he probed his way through there searching for kick-outs and dump-off passes. He finished well at the rim too, which kept the defense honest on his drives. Where he really affected the game was on the defensive end. He’s a bulldog on the ball. I loved his energy, he was really fun to watch.
Wyatt Dunning (2022 6-4 SF, Port Angeles HS)
Wyatt has good size for a wing. He showed his strength and ability to play through contact many times this weekend. He was a beast on the boards, attacking the glass on both ends. He showed his versatility offensively too by knocking down open 3s and scoring inside on smaller defenders.
Mike Foust (2022 6-3 SG, Kelso HS)
Mike filled the stat sheet for his team all weekend. He got rebounds, assist, and handled the bulk of the scoring. He shot lights out from 3 so teams began to run him off the line which allowed him to get into his dribble pull-up. His face-up jump shot from the mid-post was spot on too. I was most impressed with his motor and how hard he competed.
Conleth Jackson (2021 6-3 SF, Tenino HS)
Conleth has the frame of a linebacker but is very agile and light on his feet. He is a capable shooter from 3 although he is more of a slasher. He used his size well when slashing to the rim and competing for rebounds. He finished well in transition. I was most impressed with his bounce. He is sneaky athletic. He went up for a few dunks that surprised me.
