There are times when a scout misses or just might not see all the players in the area. We make every effort to give players a fair evaluation and try to rank accordingly. Here are some players who are deserving of a closer look by college coaches.
Mezziah Oakman Mezziah Oakman 7'0" | C Mt. Diablo | 2021 State CA-N 7’1 Center Mt Diablo HS, Concord CA.
I haven’t seen a lot of Oakman, but the 7’1 Center has a good upside to his game. All indications are he’s an improving talent with next level potential in due time. He’s a reliable shot blocker with presence in the paint right now. He’s not limited to the post he has a jump shot away from the basket and he moves pretty well for a player his size. He’s one to watch
Dylan Hayman Dylan Hayman 6'5" | SG Healdsburg | 2021 State CA-N 6’4 Shooting Guard, Healdsburg HS, Healdsburg CA.
Hayman is a hard working prospect who has a good skill set on the offensive end. He has good range on his jump shot including 3’s, a nice dribble drive pull up, and handles to get into the paint. He cuts and move well going to the basket, with a nice touch around the rim. He’s an improving player that will continue to raise his game.
Jason Cibull Jason Cibull 5'11" | PG Alameda | 2021 State CA-N 5’9 Point Guard, Alameda HS Alameda CA.
The ball control point guard does an excellent job of facilitating in the half court, he’s good at controlling the pace of a game, and getting the ball to the right guys at the right time. He’s crafty enough to keep the bigs off balance on the penetration, and kick. He has a decent jump shot to keep defenders honest.
Andrew Nolan-Crowell 6’10 Center, Redding Christian HS, Redding CA.
The 6’10 Crowell is committed to Chico St. He’s a good solid player with an improving skill set on both ends of the court. He led his team in scoring and rebounding. 16.4 ppg, and 13.9 rebs, respectively. He’s a consistent scorer around the basket with a high percentage for completing the shot.
Aidan Sevilla Aidan Sevilla 6'0" | CG Dougherty Valley | 2021 State CA-N 5’10 Combo Guard, Dougherty Valley HS, San Ramon CA.
The crafty combo is best when he’s in the open court, but he can score in the half court as well. He has good quickness with the ball, and avoids the contact with shifty moves in the paint to finish, he’s a knockdown shooter from 3 if you leave him unattended.
Tyler Isaak Tyler Isaak 6'3" | SG San Ramon | 2021 State CA-N 6’3 Shooting Guard, San Ramon HS, San Ramon CA.
A tough minded shooting guard who can hit shots from all the right spots. He has a nice pull up game, and will finish strong in the paint off the drive. Isaak has a good release, and uses good footwork coming off screens to get his shot. He plays with good balance, and strength, and will help out on the boards.
Robert Smid Robert Smid 6'4" | SG Atwater | 2021 State CA-N 6’3 Shooting Guard, Atwater HS, Atwater CA.
Smid is a big time contributor to his team. He averaged 18 pts and 6.5 rebounds last season. Smid is an active player with good movement, and decision making on the court. He really looks to score when he has the ball. He’ll use a ball fake, jab step, what ever it takes to get the defender off balance. He can score from different angles.
Harrison Carrington Harrison Carrington 6'6" | SG Sacred Heart Prep | 2021 State CA-N 6’6 Shooting Guard/ Wing/Small Forward. Sacred Heart Prep, Atherton CA.
Carrington is a versatile player who can play a couple of positions on the court. He’s comfortable handling the ball in transition, he has shot making ability on the wings. He has the size, and toughness to be an effective player in the post. He sees the floor and makes good passes in transition.
Landon Wiedenfeld Landon Wiedenfeld 6'6" | SF Granada | 2021 State CA-N 6’6 Forward Granada HS, Livermore CA.
Wiedenfeld is a versatile player, he brings a good rebounding effort to the court, he has good strength defending in the post. He’ll rebound, and lead the transition break with good passing. He’s an effective scorer in the paint, and is comfortable playing the wings, and spotting up for shots.
