With no high school basketball in Nevada, many teams have been forced to get creative in order to compete. The Nevada Small School Showcase is a perfect example of that creativity. Taking place on Saturday, February 13th, the event was a round-robin event featuring teams from the 3A and 2A division of the state. It also featured a number of young prospects. In this article, we take a look at some of the c/o 2023 and 2024 standouts from the event. 

  1. Andre Cade 6’1 SG Toros 2024 - Looks the part. His athleticism and quickness are evident. Good 2nd jump ability will become more effective as he improves his finishing ability. 
  2. Noah Tomlin 6’5 C Toros 2024 - Fluid athlete that runs the floor well. Is active on both backboards. Could become a problem, as he develops his offensive game. 
  3. Trevon Palmer 6’1 SF Toros 2023 - Wide body high motor player. His activity, energy, and effort allow him to contribute. His rebounding is tangible.
