Seth Clark, junior, Junction City:
Clark has really stepped up his game for the Blue Jays. With consecutive games of 22 and 15, the 6-foot-2 sharpshooter tallied 17 in a loss to Hayden. In those three games, he has hit six, three, and five 3-pointers.
Jake Fritz, junior, Wamego:
Wamego followed up a big win over St. Marys with an impressive win over Chapman, and it was Fritz leading the charge. The junior drilled six 3-pointers for his season-high 24 points.
Keller Hurla, sophomore, St. Marys:
Hurla continued his nice roll, hitting four 3-pointers for the second straight game. The 5-foot-9 sophomore hit 5-5 free throws and racked up 21 points in a win over Centralia.
Zeke Mayo Zeke Mayo 6'4" | CG Lawrence | 2021 State KS , senior, Lawrence (pictured):
The Lions pulled a huge win over 6A #7 Shawnee Mission East 82-75 in overtime. Mayo was at his best, pouring in 29 points, including 9-10 from the line for the 6A #3 Lions.
Kale Purcell Kale Purcell 6'3" | SF Holton | 2021 State KS , senior, Holton:
In the biggest upset of the night, Holton took down Royal Valley 57-48. Purcell followed up his 23 in a disappointing loss to Sabetha by tossing in 21 in a huge bounce-back win.
Nahcs Wahwassuck Nahcs Wahwassuck 6'5" | CG Royal Valley | 2022 State KS , junior, Royal Valley:
Proof that one man can not win on his own, Royal Valley lost despite an incredible effort by the all-state junior Wahwassuck. He scored 32 of the Panthers’ 48 points in a disappointing loss to Holton.
