The games rolled on Wednesday and Thursday. Here are some highlight performances from northeast Kansas (in alphabetical order):

Cameron Beardsley, senior, Valley Heights:

In a 51-48 win over Frankfort, Beardsley had his first 20-point effort of the season. He tossed in 21 for the Mustangs, who are possibly building something for the post-season. Loaded with experience and seniors, the 6-foot-1 Beardsley is the leader. He averaged 15 per game for a team that reached the state quarterfinals a year ago.

Carson Brading, senior, Jefferson West:

The Tigers have struggled lately, so a runaway win over Sabetha must have been a relief. A steady, mature leader, Brading has stepped it up from the guard spot the last few outings. The 5-foot-10 senior followed up an 11-point effort against Perry-Lecompton with 10 in the win against Sabetha.

Carson Gilbert, junior, Hiawatha:

The high-scoring junior helped the Red Hawks put one in the win column against Troy by scoring 21 points. That on the heels of a 29-point effort against Riverside.

Dayton Logan, senior, Mission Valley:

The Vikings have struggled recently, so when they got the win against Northern Heights this week, the big senior went off. For a powerfully-built 6-foot-5 post, Logan
