Cameron Beardsley, senior, Valley Heights:
In a 51-48 win over Frankfort, Beardsley had his first 20-point effort of the season. He tossed in 21 for the Mustangs, who are possibly building something for the post-season. Loaded with experience and seniors, the 6-foot-1 Beardsley is the leader. He averaged 15 per game for a team that reached the state quarterfinals a year ago.
Carson Brading, senior, Jefferson West:
The Tigers have struggled lately, so a runaway win over Sabetha must have been a relief. A steady, mature leader, Brading has stepped it up from the guard spot the last few outings. The 5-foot-10 senior followed up an 11-point effort against Perry-Lecompton with 10 in the win against Sabetha.
Carson Gilbert, junior, Hiawatha:
The high-scoring junior helped the Red Hawks put one in the win column against Troy by scoring 21 points. That on the heels of a 29-point effort against Riverside.
Dayton Logan, senior, Mission Valley:
The Vikings have struggled recently, so when they got the win against Northern Heights this week, the big senior went off. For a powerfully-built 6-foot-5 post, Logan

He also hit 5-6 from the line for 28 points, his first 20-point outing in several weeks.
Avion Nelson, junior, Lawrence:

Zeke MayoZekeMayo6'4" | CGLawrence | 2021StateKS. They may have found some help lately in the athletic 6-foot-1 guard Nelson. He recently poured in 19 points in a win over Shawnee Mission East, and followed that up with 13 against Olathe West this week.
Tyree Sowers, senior, Rossville:
The Bulldawgs had a depleted roster when a few recent standouts decided to not play basketball this season. It put a lot on the shoulders of 6-foot senior Sowers, and he’s done his best in a challenging season. He really broke out this week with 22 points in a loss to Riley County. He has dropped multiple 3-pointers in each of the last three games. Sowers is averaging close to 16 points over the last four contests.
Dylan Thompson, senior, Jackson Heights:
In back-to-back games against Horton, Thompson has been too much for the Chargers. After scoring 11 of the Cobras 34 points in the first match, the 6-foot-4 senior poured in 20 of the team’s 47 in the second. Thompson has scored at least 20 points in three of the Cobras’ last four games.
Toby Miller, junior, Lyndon:
And in one game of great significance on Tuesday, Lyndon bounced back from a loss to Olpe by bludgeoning Lebo 54-36.
Lyndon has a lot of quality athletes, each of whom can have a big night. Tuesday, the 6-foot-3 Miller scored 18. The Tigers’ size was way too much for Lebo. Miller’s fellow big man Miles Kitselman had 20.
