Rylee Beach, senior, Tonganoxie:
Beach led the Chieftans to a win over Topeka rival Shawnee Heights. The 5-foot-11 guard who averaged 9 points per game last season tossed in 22 Tuesday night.
Owen Braxmeyer Owen Braxmeyer 6'1" | CG Manhattan | 2021 State KS , senior, Manhattan (pictured):
The 6-foot-1 do-everything leader of the Indians has struggled to put up big enough scoring totals to get in the win column this season. But Friday, the Braxmeyer knocked down a remarkable 16-19 from the free throw line to tally 25 points in a win over Topeka High. It’s not surprising that Braxmeyer gets to the line. He is a hard-charging combo-guard/forward who has a really nice mid-range game.
Drew Buhrman, senior, Washington Co:
The Tigers picked up a win over Linn Tuesday, led by Buhrman’s 22 points. The 6-foot senior guard knocked down 9-11 from the line.
Aiden Eidman, sophomore, Chase County:
The 6-foot-3 sophomore tallied 13 buckets in a big win over Southern Coffey for 26 points.
Damian Foster, junior, Waverly:
The slick and elusive 5-foot-9 guard poured in 24 in a win over West Franklin. Foster has been on a roll of late, tossing in 20 against Burlingame and 19 against Southern Coffey in recent contests.
Tanner Hecht Tanner Hecht 6'5" | CG Wamego | 2021 State KS , senior, Wamego:
Shaking off a rare quiet night against Rock Creek, Hecht was back at it Monday night against the ultra-deep and fundamentally sound St. Marys Bears. Hecht wasn’t just bombing away from deep. He hit 7-7 from the line and got 25 with just two 3-pointers.
Braden Henry, senior, Wetmore:
Henry has been taking a bit of backseat to teammate Kael McQueen in the scoring department recently. But not Tuesday night. The 5-foot-10 senior went off for 14 buckets and 32 total points in a 61-40 win over Onaga.
Emmitt Jueneman Emmitt Jueneman 6'1" | SF Hanover | 2022 State KS , junior, Hanover:
The tough and versatile Jueneman hit four times from behind the arc and finished with 21 in a tough win over Valley Heights. Jueneman is an athletic and versatile guard who, at 6-foot-2, does damage all over the court.
Wyatt Lange, senior, Clifton-Clyde:
The 6-foot-6 veteran led the Eagles to a 51-43 win over Concordia on Monday by hitting 5-5 from the line and tallying 23.
Jerrit Norris, sophomore, Troy:
The 6-foot-4 center was big Tuesday in a win against West Platte, Mo. with 25 points. Norris is one of the leading bigs in northeast Kansas, averaging 19 points and 10 boards a contest.
Garrett Robison, senior, Burlingame:
Normally it’s Trever Quaney and Lance Noonan doing most of the scoring, but Tuesday the senior Robison knocked down six 3-pointers against Northern Heights.
Charles Snyder Charles Snyder 6'5" | PF Emporia | 2021 State KS , senior, Emporia:
Meriting notice in a losing cause was Snyder, who battled Highland Park’s Corey Powell Corey Powell 6'4" | PF Highland Park | 2021 State KS and tossed in 24 points. Snyder’s 1-6 from the line was a blemish in the close loss. But the relentless Snyder never backs down and made sure Emporia went down swinging.
