Colin Jueneman, Hanover – Highland CC:
One of several Juenemans making Hanover a contender in 1A Div. 1, the 6-foot-2 Colin Jueneman was key to the Wildcats’ state title in football. He’s a tough rebounder and defender.
Miles Kitselman, Lyndon – Emporia State:
They guy plays basketball like a tight end, or maybe defensive end. He runs and moves so well for a big man. He doesn’t have a lanky build, but he moves in and out of traffic expertly and can chase down plays full court. The 6-foot-5 center passes extremely well, helping his smaller teammates find open shots on the perimeter. He also throws really nice outlet passes to trigger the break. He usually scores in the 14-15 point range for the 2A #7 ranked Tigers.
Trey Pivarnik, Hayden – Washburn:
Pivarnik is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and looks like he could still put on muscle and weight. He can really run and jump, and is a smooth athlete. He is a role player for Hayden, only occasionally putting up double-digit points. He has a capable outside shot, but spends most of his time defending and rebounding. Hayden hasn’t won a lot of games in basketball the last couple of years, but Pivarnik comes from a culture of winning and preparing athletes for the next level.
Tre Prosper, Highland Park – Highland CC:
Prosper is also a role player at Highland Park. He doesn’t get super involved in the offense, but many can he rebound and defend. He’s got a chiseled build already and is built for physical play in the lane and for going up for the ball. He played quarterback for the overmatched Scots, but he’ll find a spot more suitable to his physique. He plays a warrior’s role for Mike Williams’ basketball team that is gearing up for another postseason run.
Charles Snyder Charles Snyder 6'5" | PF Emporia | 2021 State KS , Emporia – Independence CC (pictured):
In a bit of a surprise, the hoops standout chose football over basketball. Snyder has such great scoring ability and nice ball skills. But it might make total sense. He is a relentless warrior on the court, making plays all over and showing agility and versatility for a 6-foot-5 big man.
Caden Vinduska, Rock Creek – South Dakota Mines:
The 6-foot-3 multisport star is a nice role player for the Mustangs. He does a lot of things, including handling the ball in the open court, defending and rebounding, and getting the ball to Dawson Zenger Dawson Zenger 6'1" | CG Rock Creek | 2021 State KS . The Mustangs might just go deep into the playoffs, and it will be because of the supporting cast around Zenger.
Geivonnii Williams, Hayden – Independence CC:
Williams’ senior year has been plagued by injuries. But he is a special playmaker. He isn’t big or particularly fast, but he is deceptive in his ability to defeat good athletes. He has shown a deadly outside shot this year, and he is a solid ball handler. But he’s made his name with ball-hawking defense and toughness, and he might well wind up in the defensive backfield in college.
