The 2nd half would be back and forth once again until the 4th quarter when Northwood Temple would take the lead and hold on for good to get the win and advance.
Trinity Christian Sophomore Steven Lassiter Steven Lassiter 6'6" | PF The Burlington School | 2023 State NC has played his way onto the target list of college coaches this season. His game has progressed and he was constantly working on the boards on both ends of the court. He has a long wingspan and the ability to score from midrange and in the paint.
Northwood Temple Senior Forward Yohann Axel played strong, working in the paint and high post. One attribute we really like about him is that he doesn’t try to do anything outside of his comfort zone and plays to his strengths.
Northwood Temple Senior Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda brings leadership every time he steps on the court. You can’t measure his impact from stats alone, he is constantly pressuring opposing guards and getting his team into their offensive sets.
Trinity Christian Junior Cam Oates Cam Oates 5'10" | PG New Life Christian | 2023 State NC is developing into a PG nicely, he’s looking to get others involved while still being able to be efficient with the shots he gets. He understands how to use his quickness to his benefit but plays under control for the most part.
Northwood Temple Junior Guard Jaquantae Harris Jaquantae Harris 6'1" | PG Northwood Temple | 2022 State NC was the best overall player on the court without a doubt. He does an outstanding job of picking his time to be aggressive and has solid upper body strength to embrace contact when he attacks.
Northwood Temple Senior Guard Brady Rankin Brady Rankin 6'2" | CG Northwood Temple | 2021 State NC didn’t have his best day shooting the ball but he stayed aggressive and hit some big shots when needed. He does a great job of constantly moving without the ball which forces defenders to work hard all game long. D2 programs have already offered and we feel he could fit in well on that level.
