[player_tooltip player_id="1030009" first="Shamel" last="Baker"] | 6’1 Guard | East Carteret

Baker has picked up where he left off in the grassroots season at East Carteret. He’s producing 16.4 ppg, 5.0 apg, 3.0 rpg and 2.0 spg through a 9-0 start in his first run on varsity. He’s already put together som 20+ point performances (3 total) while shooting 50 percent from the field and dishing out a number of assists. He’s got high-major potential already given his ability to make plays for himself and others on the hardwood. Look for his name to grow in the 2024 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076336" first="AJ" last="Parsley"] | 5’7 Point Guard | Langtree Charter Academy

Parsley is an emerging point guard at Langtree Charter Academy that’s building a foundation as a leader and floor general. He’s put up 12.4 ppg, 6.0 apg, 1.5 spg and 1.3 rpg while going through some growing pains in a young rotation. Look for his stock to grow as he shows his development over the spring/summer months.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076341" first="Tymar" last="Kearney"] | 6’2 Forward/Wing | Louisburg

Kearney is a long, wiry prospect with potential in the Louisburg rotation. He’s got good instincts creating off the bounce and finishing around the rim using his length and athleticism. He’s put up 7.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 1.4 spg through seven games played in the varsity rotation. Look for his game to grown as the season comes to a close.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076359" first="Tyler" last="Whitehurst"] | 5’10 Guard | Riverside

Whitehurst has been a solid addition in the varsity rotation for the Riverside Knights. He’s puttting up 7.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg and 1.4 apg in the backcourt in his first year on the varsity stage. He’s a high IQ guard with a knack for creating for himself and others. He’s a young name worth noting early.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076363" first="Oliver" last="Roberts"] | 6’2 Guard/Wing | Falls Lake

Roberts turned heads on the grassroots scene and hasn’t slowed down much on the high school stage as well. He’s been a bright spot in the Falls Lake rotation, posting 13.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.8 spg and 1.6 apg in the lineup. He’s finding his stroke as their volume shooter in the rotation, while shooting 40 percent on the season. As he improves on his efficiency, look for his stock to grow in the 2024 class.
