Their National roster features highly regarded prospects and highly coveted players. They have even more up and coming talent on their Junior Varsity National team. We will look at 3 of those young stars at IMG Academy. These are players that scouts, coaches, and fans will want to keep a close eye on over the next few years.
Riley Harrington (2024, 6-2, Shooting Guard, IMG Academy Junior Varsity National)
– He has excellent body control when handling the ball or finishing in traffic.
– Harrington can stay in the air and adjust to the D on the finish which allows for a lot more scoring opportunities..
– He gets his shot out of his hands and off quickly after the catch forcing much faster closeouts.
– Harrington can effectively finish at the rim with both hands.
Gerard O’Keefe (2024, 6-0, Shooting Guard, IMG Academy Junior Varsity National)
– His corner jumper looks really smooth and pure off the dribble and off the catch.
– O’Keefe keeps the ball the ball steady in his hand during the shot and has rotation after the release.
– He can create off the dribble and finish through contact.
– O’Keefe looks like an active defender that can push the pace with a pass after collecting the ball off a turnover.
Drey Fox (2023, 6-3, Point Guard, IMG Academy Junior Varsity National)
– Fox puts some juice on his passes, keeping them on a string and getting the ball to it’s spot quickly.
– He plays with his head up, allowing him to see the floor and scan the defense.
– Fox can work left to right off the dribble, split the defenders, and create openings for himself and his teammates.
– He’s an efficient and effective scorer from all 3 levels.
