I figured I would take my best shot at the Mr. Basketball award as it stands right now. This is only my opinion. Feel free to disagree in the comments.

The Favorite:

Ben JohnsonBenJohnson6'3" | CGLexington Catholic | 2021StateKY, Lexington Catholic - At this point in time, I’m not sure this is even in question anymore. Catholic is undefeated with all but one win coming by double digits. Ben has had a game of 50+ and is averaging 28 points per game while shooting 57% from the field, 47% from three and 82% from the free throw line. He’s also second on his team in rebounds with just under 7 per game. Between injuries and Covid stoppages, I’m not sure anyone else’s numbers can come close to that type of scoring efficiency and there’s a good chance Lexington Catholic is the best team in the state right now.

The Second Favorite:

Zion HarmonZionHarmon5'10" | PGMarshall County | 2021State#52NationKY, Marshall County - After being suspended for the first game of the season and spending the last month in a walking boot while not playing, Harmon’s season has fizzled to the point I’m not sure he’ll even win the player of the year in the first
