Floyd Central: vs Bedford North Lawrence 2/4
Jake Heidbreder Jake Heidbreder 6'3" | SG Floyd Central | 2021 State IN – 6’3 2021 SG: Heidbreder is a taller shooting guard who is one of the better offensive players in the state. Game looks to come easy to him and with being a D1 player that is going to help him at Air Force. He has some solid mobility and skillset has some range as to what he can do. He has more than enough size and strength to have mismatches at both the 2 and 3 positions. He came into this game averaging 18 ppg and was just 2 points shy (16 pts) of matching his ppg. Heidbreder has the opportunity to really expand hiss game at the D1 level.
Cole Harritt Cole Harritt 6'4" | SF Floyd Central | 2022 State IN – 6’4 2022 SF: Harritt is a tall wing with a good amount of strength. Plays with a ton of energy and moves real well off the ball. Very good at creating and mixing it up on the offense and getting his own shot. Pretty explosive getting to the rim. Has done a good job at adding size and his outside jumper looks like it could be consistent. Needs to continue to work on his game but has already made some necessary improvements.
Caleb Washington Caleb Washington 6'5" | PF Floyd Central | 2023 State IN – 6’5 2023 PF: Washington is a big PF that has looked to have added some strength. Was already a tough player but looked to be really active on both ends, especially on the boards. More of a PF that is better inside 15ft as his outside jumper is not quite there yet. Just has a real soft touch around the basket and a very pretty turnaround jumper. He is one of the more impressive underclassman in the state and by the time his senior year starts he will probably be pretty dominant all over. Finished this game with 11 points.
Center Grove: vs Zionsville 2/9
Ethan Jones Ethan Jones 6'6" | SF Center Grove | 2021 State IN – 6’6 2021 SF: Jones is a tall and long combo forward with a great motor. Jones was really impressive early on both ends. Defended the post very well and showed how good of a shot blocker he is. One of the better pick-and-roll players I have seen this season and even converted a monster slam off of one. Just so good at using his physicality and being factor on both ends because of his junkyard dog style. Standout player for me and finished with 10 points.
Landin Hacker Landin Hacker 5'11" | PG Center Grove | 2021 State IN – 6’0 2021 PG: Hacker is a shorter lead guard with a ton of toughness. Looks to have gotten a little bigger over the years and his court vison in this game was very on-point. Made some great passes and showed his aggressiveness by going at the bigs down low. He is also a solid outside shooter and looks to have a good amount of confidence in his shot. Dude just battles and is so good about not forcing anything. Finished with 8 points and looked really good here.
Charlie Bemis Charlie Bemis 6'4" | SF Center Grove | 2021 State IN – 6’4 2021 SF: Bemis is a bigger wing that is tough on both ends. Very good on the boards and goes up with a good amount of aggressiveness. Did not do a whole lot on the offensive end but showed he is capable of guarding both the post and wing on the defensive end. Has shown in the past he is a capable scorer, especially outside of the arc. Plays his role well for Center Grove.
Tayven Jackson Tayven Jackson 6'3" | SG Center Grove | 2022 IN – 6’3 2022 SG: Jackson is a long and lean shooting guard that makes a ton of big plays. Stud athlete that knows how to use his athleticism to his advantage. Got to the basket very well this game and had a couple of beautiful reverse layups. Just so good at a creating his own shot and making plays look easy. So electric on both ends. More-than-likely going to continue his football career at the next level but is still a huge advantage for Center Grove on the hardwood.
