Miege Guards take Center Stage
Against a tough St James Academy squad, the Bishop Miege guards showed up big time to lead the way in their win. Huge contributions from the back court were key, and the guard play both ways highlighted the evening.
Miege Guards
Harrison Braudis Harrison Braudis 6'1" | PG Stillwell | 2021 State KS , 6’1 PG, 2021:The future Minnesota State point guard has put together a great stretch of games and he used his savvy, scoring ability, and ball skills to show out on Friday night. He finished with 16 points in the game, was tremendous on the defensive side of the floor, and he snagged 5 rebounds.
Xavier Hall Xavier Hall 5'11" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS , 5’10 Guard, 2022: Hall is a great change of pace guard and puts a ton of pressure on team’s defenses. When he gets his scoring going as well, the playmaking ability jumps to another level, much like last night. Hall finished with 15 points and 3 assists. He is also a terrific defender and he can get into ball handlers and is good at plugging gaps.
Aidan Wing Aidan Wing 6'4" | SF Bishop Miege | 2023 State KS , 6’4 Guard, 2023: The young Wing has been a solid contributor for Miege throughout the season, and has done a lot of great things on the defensive end and picking his spots and doing all the little things that helps make teams great. He put together a breakout performance on Friday night scoring 13 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists. He was everywhere, a truly great performance from the young man.
Other Big Games Around Kansas
Eli Wiseman Eli Wiseman 5'8" | CG Belle Plaine | 2021 State KS , 5’8 Guard, Belle Plain, 2021: The senior guard continues to tear up teams on the offensive end, dropping another cool 31 points for Belle Plain. He can get his shot off in a variety of ways and his ability to score off the catch and the bounce make him a great all around offensive guard. Belle Plain picked up the win over Conway Springs, where Wiseman scored as many points as Conway Springs did as a team.
Zephyn Mason, 6’ Guard, Holcomb, 2021: Mason is putting together a really good season in his last run with Holcomb. He put together another solid performance in another win for them. He scored 26 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He rebounds it really well for a lead guard and he is tough as nails. The scoring is for sure an added quality to his game, but he is a great floor leader and tone setter.
Rex Robinette, 5’9 Guard, Maranantha Christian, 2021: Robinette exploded last night in a huge road win for a Maranantha team that is starting to piece things together late in the season. He hit 8 3’s in the game and finished with 31 points. Much like his team, the 2021 guard has started to pick his play up as well, and could be poised for a big time late season push.
Max Alexander Max Alexander 6'0" | PG Next Level Prep | 2022 KS , 6’ Guard, Buhler, 2021: Alexander had an eventful week, announcing that he will be playing in the summer with Buddy Buckets Oklahoma and looking to continue his opportunity to increase his growing stock, and then entered Friday night only need 2 points to get to the coveted 1,000 point mark of his career. He got his 2, and then finished with 24 in the ball game, continuing his strong closing stretch of the hoops season. The playmaking and competitive nature combination of Alexander will make him and his Buhler squad really tough to knock out as we wind down the season.
