Here we look at players in Eastern mass on Jv, trying to show they are ready for varsity.
Sean Martin, Newton south, Ht 5-11, Class junior, position PG/SG
Sean is a solid guard who can handle the ball, and doesn’t turn it over.. Sean is a guard who can score, and passes the ball well. The Newton south varsity team has a lot of guards on the team, but I would expect for Sean to be a solid back up guard next season.
Lucas Wardly, Newton North, Ht 5-10, position PG/SG, Class Sophomore
Lucas is a knock down 3 point shooter. Shooting is his specialty, but his handles are good also.
Alex Talyanski, Newton South, HT 5-6, class Junior
Alex is an under sized guard, but is quick and does have good ball control. He can bring the ball up and run the point. Alex gets by defenders with his handles and quickness.
Yoav Lavari, Newton south, Ht 6-0, Class Sophomore
Yoav has worked on his game hard this past off season, and he is really improving. Yoav has improved his play making ability, his shot, and his all around game. If he continues to work on his game I think he has a good chance to play varsity in the future.
Brad mcnew, Newton North, class sophomore.
Brad is an undersized guard, but he doesn’t let his size faze him. He has a high arcing shot that is good for getting over bigger defenders. Brad is a skilled player with potential.
