Iona Prep held its first inter-squad scrimmage yesterday in New Rochelle. Coach Alvarado and his staff were able to simulate a competitive uptempo game. Frank Mantesta covered the gold team which can be found here.

RJ GreeneRJGreene6'6" | SGIona Prep | 2022StateNY ’22 6’5" W - RJ continued to prove he’s one of the most versatile players from the area. His strength allows him to operate inside and collect rebounds. He's capable of playing in the post with his back to the basket but he can also step outside and knock down the three. RJ's body control and ability to penetrate to the rim makes him an immediate mismatch.

Issac Gonzalez ’22 6’0" PG - Issac played in attack mode throughout the scrimmage. He has able to speed up the tempo while scanning the floor to navigate activity. Issac is quick with the ball which allows him to create space, play downhill, and effectively operate in the open court. He’s a true competitor who anticipates passing lanes and causes a ton of deflections.
