Arbor Prep (W) vs. Farmington
Malcom Clements (2021, G, Arbor Prep)
Clements was so dangerous attacking the rim off the dribble. He had some shimmy and finished with a fire. As the game went on, he picked up his activity in the paint, creating multiple 2nd chance buckets. Clements played well off contact and got to the free throw line repeatedly. He contributed defensively as well, including a big steal with 2:50 left to go, maintaining a 46-44 lead at the time.
Patrick Kombo Patrick Kombo 5'11" | PG Arbor Prep | 2022 State MI (2022, G, Arbor Prep)
Kombo displayed the ability to score from multiple levels. He had a quick first step on straight line drives and finished with a finger roll. Kombo could finish through contact and get to the line. He also hit a deep triple and a mid range jumper off the dribble.
Robert Davis Jr. (2022, G, Farmington)
Davis Jr. is an athletic rebounder. He shot overtop of his defenders and utilized a turnaround jumper that was very tough to defend. Davis Jr. seemed especially comfortable working from the baseline.
Prince Jackson Prince Jackson 6'0" | PG North Farmington | 2023 State MI (2023, G, Farmington)
Jackson is an elite talent at the point guard position. He can create off the dribble and draw the defense to him, where he can finish through contact or drop the ball off to a teammate.
Romeo (W) vs. New Haven
Blake Woodward Blake Woodward 6'9" | C Romeo | 2021 State MI (2021, C, Romeo)
Woodward had a huge impact on the game from the paint. He played a physical game and could put his back to the basket and work his defender for position. Woodward passed the ball very well out of the post and showed some really soft hands on put back buckets. He even had a steal and took it downcourt for the finish.
Brent Wiles (2021, G, New Haven)
Wiles is a physically strong guard and plays off that strength well. He really works to outmuscle opponents on the defensive end. Wiles looked comfortable all over the floor defensively. He goes hard to the rim, plays through contact, and finishes with toughness.
