High school season in Michigan has started fast and furiously. We’re going to look at some prospects that impressed me from 3 teams that I focused on watching over the last couple of days - Okemos, River Rouge, and Traverse City St. Francis.

Okemos

Christian Brilliantes (2022, PG)

Brilliantes was an energy player, always the first man back on defense. He was steady enough with the ball that I wanted every possession to start with the ball in his hands in the 4th quarter.

Rai did the dirty work for Okemos. He played help defense in the paint and was a very active screener up top.

Jaden Pruitt (2022, PF)

Pruitt caught entry passes with his back to the basket and physically backed his man down. He showed a nice spin move into the lane. Pruitt did a nice job drawing contact and getting to the free throw line.

Will Young (2022, CG)

Young showed some blow by ability in this game. He recognized mismatches and took advantage of them. Young was able to score from multiple levels.

River Rouge
