Timberline vs. Skyview: In a local 5A SIC matchup, Timberline was able to sneak away with a 3 point victory. For Timberline, their recipe for success consisted of great free throw shooting down the stretch and defensive stops when it mattered most. Skyview battled hard the entire game and simply ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard at the end of the game. As the district tournament quickly approaches, Timberline is looking to work their way up to string together a couple of wins and an appearance at state. Skyview is looking to hang on and make some upsets at the district tournament. Cooper Lumsden Cooper Lumsden 6'3" | SG Timberline | 2021 State ID led the Timberwolves with a great 17 point performance. On the other side, Skyview was led by 12 points from Danny Graviet.
Fruitland vs. Payette: Fruitland secured a sizable victory over Payette thanks to some great shooting, pushing the ball in transition, and the ability to take away all of Payette’s scoring opportunities. The game was never close and Fruitland cruised to victory without ever looking back. Payette has had a tough year this season while Fruitland has stayed within striking distance of the top spot in the state and they will look to lock in their position in the coming weeks. Hyrum Lindsey Hyrum Lindsey 6'4" | PF Fruitland | 2021 State ID was the leader for Fruitland while contributing 19 points. Cace Lewis led Payette with 15 points.
