As we creep over the halfway point in the basketball season, the 2022 class in Kansas has impressed big time. Through all of the stoppages, postponements, rescheduling’s, and other barriers that can affect players and teams this season, we have still managed to get some great games, team efforts, and individual performances. Let’s take at some of the point guards and shooting guards to keep an eye out down the home stretch.

Mozae Downing-RiversMozaeDowning-Rivers6'3" | PGFree State | 2022StateKS, 6’3, Free State: The leader and spearhead for an extremely tough and talented group, Downing has been tremendous this season. Brings a lot to the table from the point guard position that just pop to the eyes. He broke the school record this season with assists in a single game with 11, and is constantly hovering around double digits in the big 3 categories of rebounds, scoring, and assists. Free State is poised for a big run, and with Downing to stear the ship, look out.
