Hillhouse High School Head Coach Renard Sutton is the top dog of the Connecticut coaching rankings. His practice was spirited and full of energy from start to finish. The program is known for playing hard and leaving everything on the court. This season the team will be lead by a young group of prospects.
Matthew Gibbs, 6’1 CG, 2022 – Matt is an athletic combo guard with the ability to see the floor and make great decisions. He’s capable of defending multiple positions at the high school level. He will be a major factor and contributor for the Academics this season.
Raymond Bowens, 6’0 CG, 2022 – Raymond is a crafty ball handler with the ability to score in transition as well in the half-court. The team will look for him to be a big factor this season.
Frank Daniley 5’10 CG, 2022 – He’s a tenacious on-ball defender and serves as a disrupter on the defensive end. On the offensive end, he has the ability to break down defenders and penetrate as a playmaker or scorer.
Jody Frica, 6’5 F, 2023 – Jody has a soft touch around the rim. He finishes well around the paint. He’s a determined shot-blocker with a solid defensive presence, especially in the paint. He runs the floor at a high level for his size and age. He has the potential to be a strong threat as a rim runner.
