The first Cedar City Showcase was a huge success, so much so that we decided to do it again! This month’s Cedar City Showcase takes place Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st in Cedar City Utah. The event features 16 club teams from around the state of Nevada and offers a fabulous opportunity for the players to gain exposure. Every player participating in this event will be evaluated for the upcoming PrepHoops Rankings. Several players have a chance to rise in the rankings from their performances. In this article, a follow-up to our potential stockrisers article we take a look at some additional potential stockrisers this weekend.
Alijah Adem
AlijahAdem6'2" | PGSpring Valley | 2024StateNV 6’0 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#7PHN 2024) - The class of 2024 is wide open. There are a ton of top prospects in the class, and Adem is right in that range. Play well this weekend, with a young CF team against upperclassmen, and you have to consider the PG as a potential stockriser.
Dawson DumasDawsonDumas6'1" | SGElko | 2022StateNV 6’1 SG Elko 2022 (#49PHN 2022) - I’ve been extremely impressed with Elko the last few times I’ve watched them play. I don’t believe however, I have evaluated Dumas

I don’t believe however, I have evaluated Dumas enough. I know he’s a sharpshooter, but if he shows some defense and ball skills this weekend, you have to start thinking of him as a stockriser.
Austin SlayAustinSlay6'2" | PFCimarron | 2021StateNV 6’2 PF NCB 2021 (#83PHN 2021) - Last year when talking with Slay’s H.S coach, he mentioned that he was about a year away. Unfortunately, because of circumstances outside of his control, that year was taken away from him. He was a good R&J athlete last year, if he shows improvement and can help NCB to a few victories, his #83 ranking may simply be too low.
Cody Zile
CodyZile6'4" | SFLincoln Co | 2021StateNV 6’4 PF Redcats 2021 (#78PHN 2021) (featured image) - I got a good look at Zile last weekend, but I need to see more. What impressed me most was his athleticism and quick jump ability. Zile moved well, if he has the same type of impact this weekend with his rim protection and defense, then I think he deserves to rise in the rankings.
Malakai ChristianMalakaiChristian6'4" | PFSierra Vista | 2022StateNV 6’4 PF Blue Hoops 2022 (#76PHN 2022) - It always excites me when coaches call about a player, I have had a few conversations recently about the 6’4 forward. You hear it all the time, but with size at a premium, a good performance from Christian could trigger a rankings rise for him.
