Robert’s natural ability to put the ball in the hoop is uncanny. R. J. was firing from all cylinders, his touch on every shot he took was simply phenomenal, despite how the pressure the defense attempted to play on him, Jones was still able to get a bucket whether he was on or off balance. Jones’s basketball instincts proved to be on another level, particularly on the offensive end where his footwork was insanely precise and every move he made was a step ahead of his defender. R. J. looked as if he could score and make a play anytime he wanted to. The Braswell Sophomore finished the game with totals of 21 points, 2 three-points made, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 assists.

Top-ranked athlete, Anthony Black Anthony Black 6'7" | PG Duncanville | 2022 State #10 Nation TX was in Super Saiyan mode against the Allen Eagles, stuffing the stat sheet by dropping 26 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, and a block. Black put his incredibly marvelous skill set on full display, shredding the defense in the open court with his deadly speed, throwing on target laser beam passes, knocking down jumpers from beyond the arc, and posterizing any defender that attempted to come between him and the basket. Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX – Small Forward – Coppell
This 3-point specialist put his stamp on the game with his dynamic shooting prowess. Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX was an absolute sniper from deep, he reminded everyone just how spectacular of a shooter he really is, knocking down stop-and-pop, spot-up, and quick-release jumpers with ease. Ryan showed a great feel for the court and his teammates’ tendencies with the way he cut to the basket and got open from the perimeter at the right time. When Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX is shooting like this there isn’t that can be done to stop him.
Mansfield Timberview 90, Arlington Heights 31
Jared Washington – Combo Guard – Mansfield Timberview
Jared Washington’s stock just continues to rise after yet another impressive performance, this time it came in the first round of the playoffs. Washington always finds a way to stand out and make his presence felt one way or another, and against the Yellowjackets it was with his three-point shooting that stood out and made a big difference. Arlington Heights continuously gave him breathing room from beyond the arc and Jared made sure to make them pay each time, nailing 4 three-pointers all from spots in or around the corners of the perimeter. Jared Washington also filled up the stat sheet as he’s been known to do this season, leaving the game with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and a block.
Chendall Weaver Chendall Weaver 6'2" | PG Mansfield Timberview | 2022 State TX – Combo Guard – Mansfield Timberview
This Mansfield Timberview guard took over the scoring load early on to get things going for the Wolves and ended up finishing the competition with a game-high of 24 points, along with 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Chendall showed some impressive athleticism when he threw down an alley-oop off a back door cut to the basket and displayed an impressive playmaking ability with the way he handled the ball and kept everyone involved, often setting his teammates up for success. One thing about him you have to love is how Chendall Weaver Chendall Weaver 6'2" | PG Mansfield Timberview | 2022 State TX lets the game come to him, making every possession, every pass, and every shot count for something.
