As the end of the conference season is in sight, all eyes have turned to the 5A SIC to see which teams will emerge to play at the state tournament at the beginning of March. The battle for the top of the conference has been a bitter fight all season and a couple of teams are beginning to look like true title contenders. Additionally, some ridiculous stat lines have begun to pop up across the Treasure Valley with a lot of players showing they deserve a higher spot in the player rankings as well as showing why they should be playing at the next level. Continue reading for a look at some recent 5A SIC games as well as some excellent personal performances.

Meridian vs. Boise: In a matchup of two of the oldest high schools in the area, Meridian and Boise faced off in a 5A SIC battle. Meridian asserted their dominance early and did not let up for the rest of the game. Boise struggled for the majority of the game with matchup issues and could not keep up with the high tempo Meridian offense as well as a barrage of three’s. Boise never seemed to find their footing
