Prep Hoops Michigan recently updated it’s rankings for the class of 2023. A lot of times, people like to see which players rose up the list. We’ll take a look at 5 players that moved up in the rankings for the sophomore class.

John Blackwell John Blackwell 6'3" | SG Novi Christian Academy | 2023 State MI (CG, Brother Rice)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #7

Blackwell is absolutely loaded with potential and upside. He has versatility in his ability to play on or off the ball. Blackwell is a threat to score from all over the floor. He made the tough climb into the top 10.

Simon Neuhaus Simon Neuhaus 6'5" | SF East Grand Rapids | 2023 State MI (SG, East Grand Rapids)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #19

I couldn’t have been more wrong about this young man. He’s by far the biggest mover on the list of prospects. Neuhaus is an elite athlete that displays some shiftiness on the perimeter. He’s a good old fashioned shot taker and shot maker.

Teddy Williams Teddy Williams 6'6" | PF Grand Ledge | 2023 State MI (PF, Grand Ledge)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #32

Williams has been so impressive since grassroots season last year. At the top 250, he displayed a dominant game in the paint. Then at Let’s Get Ready, he showed a vastly improved perimeter game where he handled the ball and displayed a solid jumper.

Gaden Muxlow Gaden Muxlow 6'4" | CG Brown City | 2023 State MI (SG, Brown City)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #48

Muxlow really impressed this fall. He’s probably one of the most physically string shooting guards in Michigan. I don’t think anyone at the position can out muscle him. As a plus, his jumper from behind the arc is a weapon.

Charlie Deutsch Charlie Deutsch 6'3" | SG Rockford | 2023 State MI (SG, Rockford)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #73

Deutsch just continues to improve as a player. It seemed like every time I saw him play, he had gotten better. Deutsch has the potential to be a top notch shooter in the class of 2023. His strength also allows him to play a physical brand of basketball when needed.
