Let’s take a look at some of the latest games from Idaho Falls Metro this past weekend.
West Side hangs on over Rich (UT)
At Rich, Bryler Shurtliff Bryler Shurtliff 6'1" | SG West Side | 2022 State ID ’s showed his versatility as a scorer by having 21 points to lead the way for West Side. He accounted for almost 50 percent of the scoring as West Side went onto win 44-40.
West Side is now 6-1 and might be one who are flying somewhat under the radar in the Idaho Falls Metro.
North Gem wins both of their Back-to-Backs
North Gem put the pedal down early on Sho-Ban and the Cowboys ran away early and never took off their foot off the gas. North gem was a basket away from putting up 100 on Sho-Ban. Instead, the squad settled for a 98-26 victory.
The starters only played a quarter and half which showcased the depth North Gem has and why they’re a formidable team not just in Idaho Falls Metro but in the state.
James Bodily James Bodily 6'2" | SF North Gem | 2021 State ID led the way with 26 while Bridger Hatch Bridger Hatch 5'9" | PG North Gem | 2022 State ID contributed 18. The team put up 98 with only 4 players in double figures which showcases how everyone on the squad was contributing.
North Gem did not let Friday be their own victory over the weekend. The squad then traveled to Challis on Saturday and won in dominant fashion 76-43. The squad got off to a quick lead and led by 15 after the first. Then, in the third quarter, North Gem put the game to bed outscoring Challis 26-8.
