Collierville bounced back from its eight-point loss to MHEA Friday night with a 60-47 win at home over St. Benedict. The Dragons are now 14-4.

Collierville had balance offensively, with three players hitting the double-digit mark.

I was on hand Saturday night for the Dragons’ victory.

Here are the best players from the matchup.

Jordan JenkinsJordanJenkins6'2" | SGWebb School-Bell Buckle | 2021StateTN, Collierville: The senior guard helped his team build a 33-16 halftime lead. Collierville went on a 9-2 run to end the second quarter and Jenkins made back-to-back 3s during the surge. He was one of few shifty guards on the floor and didn’t have a problem getting into the paint. Jenkins made his presence known on the defensive end, as he tipped passes and dove for loose balls.

He was very aggressive in the win. Jenkins led the Dragons with 24 points.

Davon BarnesDavonBarnes6'5" | SFCollierville | 2021StateTN, Collierville: The senior wing made his shots look easy. His upper body strength and physicality was too much for the Eagles. Barnes didn’t have to settle for a lot of jump shots since he didn’t have a difficult time getting shots in the paint.

Barnes finished with 17 points.

Alec Tipton, Collierville: Tipton’s offense came when St. Benedict was starting to make shots. Bobby WestbrooksBobbyWestbrooks6'2" | CGSt. Benedict | 2021StateTN’ runner had the Eagles down 46-37, the first time St. Benedict was down single digits since the score was 24-15 midway through the second quarter.

Tipton made a 3 from the left wing then made another one from the corner when the Eagles’ Adam Barbieri’s 3-point play made it a single-digit game, again. He shot both 3s with confidence. Tipton had enough air on both releases.

Tipton finished the game with 11 points.
