The Coppell Cowboys went on the road and beat the Lewisville Farmers 83-73 on Tuesday, and the Prosper Eagles hosted and defeated the Allen Eagles in overtime by a score of 79-66 on Friday.
Here are five standout underclassmen from this past week’s action:
Jaxson Ford Jaxson Ford 6'8" | PF Prosper | 2024 State TX | 2024 | 6’7’’ Power Forward | Prosper HS – Ford was dominant in the paint at both ends on Friday. The freshman forward is a springy rebounder with a strong frame. He has a soft touch down low on offense and is decisive when he gets the ball. Additionally, Ford was fantastic as a rim protector, challenging shots and turning them back with regularity vs. Allen. He finished the contest with a double-double, accounting for 13 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks.
Adrian Banks | 2023 | 6’1’’ Shooting Guard | Lewisville HS – Banks is a terrific shooter from behind the arc, knocking down three threes vs. Coppell. He has solid range when shooting from distance but also showed that he can hit mid-range pull ups. The sophomore guard did an excellent job getting his shots off in rhythm Tuesday night. He ended up with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Addison Harmon Addison Harmon 6'2" | PG Prosper | 2023 TX | 2023 | 6’2’’ Point Guard | Prosper HS – Harmon is a talented all-around point guard with a smooth style of play. The Prosper sophomore handles the ball well under pressure and is a good distributor. As a scorer, he contributed a catch-and-shoot corner three and finished with 10 points. Harmon was great at the other end too. He was an engaged defender on the ball and did an outstanding job of defending on the perimeter.
Dylan Archey | 2023 | 5’8’’ Combo Guard | Allen HS – Archey had eight points on the night vs. Prosper. He drilled two three-pointers, both of which came from NBA range. The 2023 prospect made a mid-range jumper off the dribble from the elbow as well. He started the game for the Eagles and figures to be a key player for Allen in the coming years.
Tre’Lin Green | 2023 | 5’7’’ Point Guard | Lewisville HS – Green possesses blazing speed in the open court. He plays with intensity and a bit of an edge. On offense, the 5-foot-7-inch guard hit a pair of corner threes from the catch and made smart decisions in transition. Defensively, Green constantly pestered opposing ball handlers. Don’t be fooled by his size, this guy gets down into a stance and constantly annoys whoever he is defending. His scrappy nature was on full display. He ended the contest with 12 points, three assists, and two steals.
