My week ended with a back-and-forth battle between Bartlett and Evangelical Christian School.
The Panthers got the best of the Eagles, 61-58, thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by junior point guard Amarr Knox Amarr Knox 6'3" | PG Bartlett | 2022 State #212 Nation TN , who matched baskets with senior point guard Kameron Jones Kameron Jones 6'4" | PG ECS | 2021 State #177 Nation TN .
Both players were spectacular as well as many other players in the state.
Here are the top performers from this week.
Amarr Knox, Bartlett: Knox made timely baskets for the Panthers in their win over ECS. The Memphis commit connected on seven 3s in the win. Knox led Bartlett with 31 points.
Kameron Jones, ECS: Jones tied the game 58-all before Knox’s dagger. He scored 16 of his 30 points in the second half. Jones helped the Eagles build a 45-38 lead heading into the fourth before the Panthers went on a 7-0 run – led by Knox – to tie the game.
Mason Shropshire, ECS: The junior point guard had 19 points in the 61-54 win over Tipton-Rosemark Academy.
Reese McMullen, Christian Brothers: The senior guard led the Purple Wave with 20 points in their 76-59 win over Bartlett. Chandler Jackson had 18. Eli Federman added 15. Hunter Pratt provided 13.
Marcus Long II, East Hamilton: Long led the Canes with 20 points in their 72-65 win over Bradley Central. Cade Pendleton had 18. Darwin Randolph provided 17. Jordan Harris added 13.
Hayden Ledbetter, Lausanne: The junior point guard led the Lynx with 21 points in their 59-51 double-overtime win over Northpoint Christian.
Darius Naylor, Northpoint Christian: Naylor had 15 points against Lausanne.
Phil Dotson III, Arlington: Dotson led the Tigers with 25 points in a 100-79 win over Pure Academy. Anthony Medlock had 22. Madison Peaster and Isaiah Jones each provided 14.
Justin Morgan, MHEA: Morgan had 15 points in a loss to Arlington. Sam Eubank provided 12.
Kobe Wilkes, FACS: Wilkes led the Crusaders with 20 points and 11 rebounds in a 73-55 win over University School of Jackson. Josh Ward had 20 points and eight rebounds. TJ Thomas provided 16 points. Daniel Egbuniwe added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Luke Moore, Fayette Academy: Moore led the Vikings with 18 points in their 54-52 win over Sacred Heart. Austin Abernathy had 14. Ryan Eubanks added 12.
Matthew Schneider, Siegel: Schneider led the Stars with 18 points in their 66-34 win over Oakland. Jaylan Wetzel provided 16. Zion Swader added 15 and Martise Jackson pitched in 12.
Zane Lawhon, Midway: Lawhon had 13 points and five rebounds in a loss to Harriman.
PJ Smith, Goodpasture: Smith had 30 points, six steals and five assists in an 86-62 win over Davidson Academy. Isaiah West provided 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Kley McGowan, Cleveland: McGowan had 24 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in a win over Ooltewah. Grant Hurst had 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Jasen Brooks provided 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Alex Hyder had eight points and four rebounds.
Rodney Broadnax, Cleveland: Broadnax had 15 points and four rebounds in a win over Bradley. Judah Sault provided 14 points, four rebounds and one steal.
BJ Edwards, Knoxville Catholic: Edwards had 29 points, nine assists and six steals in a win over Asheville Christian.
Braeden Moore, CPA: Moore had 27 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Columbia Academy.

Davon Barnes, Collierville: Barnes led the Dragons with 27 points against the Fayette Ware Wildcats.
Jensen Linton, Eagleville: Linton had 17 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in a win over Fayetteville City.
