CJ Scott CJ Scott 6'4" | SF Archbishop Spalding | 2022 MD | 6’5 | Archbishop Spalding
Overall ranking: No. 16
Positional ranking: No. 5
Scott had a productive summer on a loaded Team Melo squad. The 6-foot-5 wing can fill multiple positions and roles while presenting versatile size and athleticism. He’s a swiss army knife that makes his impact felt in a number of ways on the box score. Scott is a consistent scoring threat off the bounce from mid-range or getting downhill and attacking the rim. He moves well without the ball and understands how to make himself available. For Spalding, Scott can be the initiator offensively in the half court and play more of a point guard role. Defensively given his size and strength he can guard positions 1-4 at the high school level. Consistency will be key with Scott and his recruitment going to the next level.
Tobi Nnadozie Tobi Nnadozie 6'4" | SF Mt. Carmel | 2021 MD | 6’3 | Mt. Carmel
Overall ranking: No. 38
Positional ranking: No. 7
Nnadozie played along with Scott on Team Melo this summer. His minutes increased as the summer progressed, but his real impact was felt in the fall playing in the Baltimore Panther Fall League. Nnadozie is one of the most explosive athletes in the Baltimore area and is always looking to throw down an impressive dunk in the open floor or be on the receiving end of a lob in the half court. His jumper was the biggest blemish in his game, but he’s shown significant improvement in that aspect and has clearly been spending time in the gym over the past six months focusing on reps. Defensively he’s tremendous in the passing lanes where he anticipates to cause deflections. His athleticism allows him to be a plus rebounder for his position.
Jordan Nkoa-Abessolo Jordan Nkoa-Abessolo 6'5" | PF St. Maria Goretti | 2022 State MD | 6’5 | St. Maria Goretti
Overall ranking: No. 59
Positional ranking: No. 12
Abessolo plays more of an undersized four role, but will expected to play heavy minutes as a wing at the next level. At 6-foot-5 with a strong frame, he’s extremely active on the glass at both ends. He’s one of those players that never stops working on the boards and always seems to be in the right position to make a play. Abessolo is a plus athlete that can finish over the rim in space, but is also strong enough withstand contact on his takes. His jumpshot is still a work in progress, but this summer with Team Thrill, he showed some improvement in catch-and-shoot scenarios. Defensively he can guard any position at the high school level. The size that he gives up at the five is counterbalanced with his strength and he’s quick enough to stay in front of guard for stints.
Andrew Rhuebottom | 6’3 | Milford Mill
Overall ranking: No.88
Positional ranking: No. 21
Rheubottom has played in the frontcourt for the majority of his rec years, but made the switch as an off-ball guard or wing once he hit high school. At 6-foot-3 he has decent size can be categorized as a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He’s deceptively quick and has nice balance as he can stop on the dime in the mid-range and hit pull-ups. The defense has to account for him from three, but he also makes it a habit of taking advantage of wild closeouts and finishing in paint. Because he played forward growing up, Rheubottom is very comfortable collecting rebounds, which makes him a plus for his position.
