The 2021 Maryland/DC rankings were just recently updated and it is now time to dig in a little deeper into the rankings. In this article I will be highlighting the top five small forwards from the DC area.
6’7 Quincy Allen
QuincyAllen6'7" | SFMaret | 2021State#125NationMD | Maret
There has not been a lot of activity involving Allen within the last 12 months because of injury but Colorado is getting a national level recruit that will be a dynamic two way player in the Pac-12.
Overall ranking: No. 4
Positional ranking: No. 3
6’4 Afamdi Achufusi
AfamdiAchufusi6'4" | SFSidwell Friends | 2021StateMD | Sidwell Friends
Achufusi was expected to have a big senior season at Sidwell before the pandemic hit. He is another prospect on this list that can be effective at the next level as being a good two way player.
Overall ranking: No. 50
Positional ranking: No. 10
6’3 Malcolm DreadMalcolmDread6'3" | SFGonzaga | 2021StateMD | Gonzaga
In my opinion Dread's best basketball lies ahead of him. Dread can defend at a high level and has been more consistent on the offensive end over the last year. He is a name to remember in the Atlantic 10 during his day at Richmond.
Overall ranking: No. 52

Maurice JohnsonMauriceJohnson6'4" | SFCesar Chavez | 2021StateMD | Cesar Chavez
Johnson is an absolute bucket as he was the top scorer in the area last year. If play resumes this winter, Johnson has a chance to lead the area in scoring again which would be mighty impressive to do so two years in a row.

Positional ranking: No. 19

Kris KingKrisKing6'3" | SFArchbishop Carroll | 2021StateMD | Archbishop Carroll
King had a great summer and definitely earned a bump in our latest updated rankings. King will do whatever is needed on both sides of the ball to help his team win.
