Trenton Talley, sophomore, Centralia:
The 6-foot sophomore had a big game against Nemaha Central with 17. He followed it up with 7 against a tough Hanover team. The #8 rated Panthers have a lot of players, and Talley will be key for their long-term success.
Wyatt Lange, senior, Clifton-Clyde:
Clifton-Clyde is off to a great start, and the 6-foot-6 Lange is a big part of the success. He averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds as a junior, and is right on that pace again. With a lot of athletes of various size and skill around him, having a big man in the middle makes for a great mix for the Eagles.
Creighton Johnson, junior, Doniphan West:
Johnson has stepped into a varsity role and done nice things this season. He tossed in 10 points against Oskaloosa and 12 against Troy, including three 3-pointers.
Caden Dalinghaus, junior, Frankfort:
Dalinghaus stepped into the guard-rich lineup and has provided some more juice. He has scored in double figures in several games, and has been consistently around 10 each outing.
Jacob Jueneman, senior, Hanover:
Ranked #3 in 1A, Hanover has plenty of athletes, many of whom have size. Jueneman is providing some toughness and power in the lane. The 6-foot-4 senior is ripping down 10.3 rebounds to go with his 10.3 points per game.
Kadin Claycamp, senior, Valley Heights:
The Mustangs returned a ton of players from their league champion squad from last year. Claycamp provides some height and rebounding ability in the lane, and though his scoring isn’t always consistent, he’s a threat to put up double-figures every night.
Kael McQueen, senior, Wetmore:
McQueen averaged 11 points per games last season, and is upping that pace this season. The 5-foot-10 senior has 3-2 Wetmore on the rise with numerous games in double figures, including 16 against Hanover and 15 against Onaga.
