Drew Biber Drew Biber 6'3" | SF Cedarburg | 2021 State WI – 2021 – SF – Cedarburg
When you play Whitefish Bay, you have to be willing to be patient offensively and defend for long stretches. Biber did a great job of staying the course and grinding it out during a 48-41 win. The Purdue football commit registered a game-high 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Biber set a tone early defensively, keeping up his intensity during long possessions. He also got the Bulldogs off on the right foot, beginning the game with a pair of 3’s before sealing the deal with a late dunk.
Sam Burdette Sam Burdette 6'3" | SG Milton | 2021 State WI – 2021 – SG – Milton
Burdette just always plays well when we’re in the gym. He’s gone under the radar, but the kid can be a lights out shooter. Burdette has NBA range and hit two of his five triples from well beyond the arc in Thursday’s win over Janesville Craig. We’re not talking about wide open heat checks either. There was actually some ball pressure on him. A plus length shooter, Burdette is so deadly in transition. He runs the wings really well and knows how to play off guard dribble penetration, relocating after a drive. Burdette also defends as well. He had a couple of blocks and steals during a blowout victory.
Jack Campion Jack Campion 5'10" | PG Milton | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PG – Milton
Been leaning this way for a while and I think it’s clear, Campion’s earned a spot in the top 10 of the 2022 class rankings. Tough to know if he’ll move ahead of some of the versatile bigs in this class, but in terms of overall basketball talent, Campion is second to few in this class. The Milton guard is somewhat comparable to former Middleton star Storm Murphy (Wofford) — undersized, but fast and flashy with the basketball. Campion is quicker and a better shooter at this stage in his career.
In Thursday’s win over Janesville Craig, Campion scored 22 points and dished out a handful of assists. His speed on the ball was just breathtaking and when he’s coming down the floor and launching 3-pointers because defenders have to give him a few steps — it’s over. Defenders can either be within a step or two and get beaten off the dribble or surrender a triple. Campion plays with outstanding pace for 36 minutes. A subtle, but big key to his success is getting North/South right off the rebound and making sure his teammates have a clear, available outlet to jump-start the fast break. Milton surrounds Campion with shooters as well and he’ll find them all game long.
Marshaun Harriel Marshaun Harriel 5'11" | PG Janesville Craig | 2022 WI – 2022 – PG – Janesville Craig
Harriel needs to work on finishing around the rim, but there’s a lot to like about this point guard. The junior has some excellent burst and a quick first step on the ball. Harriel can thrive in transition, especially when he’s got numbers on the break. Always a coast-to-coast threat, Harriel has the tools to finish off-balance and at top end speed or deliver no-look passes. Harriel can be a streak shooter and defenders are willing to give it up. If he can get some consistency, Harriel’s numbers will explode as defenders will have to pick their poison.
Logan Landers Logan Landers 6'9" | PF Cedarburg | 2021 State WI – 2021 – PF – Cedarburg
Landers had a strong second half to help Cedarburg claim a share of first place in the North Shore Conference with Friday’s win over Whitefish Bay. In a grind-it-out, defensive battle, Landers swung the momentum a handful of times for the Bulldogs with a putback dunk and some timely 3-pointers. The Kansas State commit had a game-high 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals. A stretch big man who can space the floor, face-up and score in the mid-range, and dominate on the block 1-on-1, Landers is one of the biggest matchup problems in the state.
