This past week had some great basketball in the Idaho Falls Metro. Let’s take a look at the games where the players’ took it upon themselves to be focal points in the game. These are the top performers from this past week as well as a look ahead to games to keep an eye-on this weekend. 

James BodilyJamesBodily6'2" | SFNorth Gem | 2021StateID’s dominance for North Gem

Bodily has been an absolute superstar for North Gem. He never takes a night off and North Gem had back-to-back games against Grace Lutheran and Grace. Bodily ensured his presence would be felt with 21 points on both nights to help North Gem go 2-0 this week. 

Battle of Stars

January 13th

Braden Permann of Rockland was in a scoring duel with Spieth from Raft River. Permann has been a versatile scorer finishing with 26 points, he was able to dominate inside and out. Spieth for Raft River was getting to the rim at will in the second half to keep the game close. Rockland would hold on to win 63-55. 

January 14th

Guard-play was on full-display this past Thursday night as Brittan Bergholm for Soda Springs and Bryler ShurtliffBrylerShurtliff6'1" | SGWest Side | 2022StateID for West Side. Both
