Preston Jackson-Stephens – Belmont – F – SR
The 6’3 lefty rang in the New Year, netting a game-high 30 points for the Belmont Marauders. Accounting for 55% of his team’s scoring, Jackson-Stephens was a one-man wrecking crew en route to a 55-49 win vs. Lexington High School.
Adam Patterson – Watertown – F – JR
New year, same beast! Patterson, in a 12-point victory against Wakefield, dropped a career-high 27 points. Flashing his full bag of offensive tricks, this game looked like the start of a potential monster season for the southpaw forward.
Tommy Mallinson – Wilmington – F – JR
Mallinson poured in a 23-point effort vs. Burlington over the weekend. Albeit a loss, the junior wingman showcased his elite shooting and scoring prowess in the Wildcats opener.
Shane Mahoney – Burlington – G – JR
The 5’10 guard stepped into his new primary scoring role by chipping in 21 points in a 68-55 victory against Wilmington. Mahoney will be responsible for carrying the Red Devils’ offense this season, being one of two returning starters.
Cedric Rodriguez – Burlington – F – FR
The freshman impressed in his first career varsity game by posting a near double-double. The 6’3 forward proved he could handle the physicality inside with a 17 point, 8-rebound effort in a victory vs. Wilmington.
