As we turn the page on 2020, we kick off New Year's weekend with a nice slate of high school hoops! To celebrate the start of the 2021 hoops season, let's recognize some of the weekends, most noteworthy performances:
Preston Jackson-Stephens - Belmont - F - SR
The 6'3 lefty rang in the New Year, netting a game-high 30 points for the Belmont Marauders. Accounting for 55% of his team's scoring, Jackson-Stephens was a one-man wrecking crew en route to a 55-49 win vs. Lexington High School.
Adam Patterson - Watertown - F - JR
New year, same beast! Patterson, in a 12-point victory against Wakefield, dropped a career-high 27 points. Flashing his full bag of offensive tricks, this game looked like the start of a potential monster season for the southpaw forward.
Tommy Mallinson - Wilmington - F - JR
Mallinson poured in a 23-point effort vs. Burlington over the weekend. Albeit a loss, the junior wingman showcased his elite shooting and scoring prowess in the Wildcats opener.
