Luke Rowlinson Luke Rowlinson 6'4" | SG Western Reserve (Collins | 2021 State OH , 6’3 SG Western Reserve (Collins) 2021: Rowlinson is a small school sleeper who can shoot the crap out of the basketball. With his size he’s able to back down smaller defenders and can put it on the floor from the perimeter. Rowlinson currently has two NAIA offers and I believe that’s the perfect level for him. Those schools still needing an absolute dead-eye shooter should look at Rowlinson as a potential guy to fill that role.
Jalen Knott Jalen Knott 6'1" | SG Lutheran East | 2021 State OH , 6’1 SG Lutheran East 2021: Knott is a prototypical 3 and D wing. He has an excellent frame and defensively is just a monster on ball. A smooth stroke from a couple feet behind the 3-point line, Knott has had some big time scoring games this season. Recently picking up a Division II offer, Knott should have some more chances to impress as Lutheran East is a favorite to win a state championship in Division III.
Chaze Harris Chaze Harris 6'4" | SG Bedford | 2021 State OH , 6’4 SG Bedford 2021: Harris is a high-flying wing who can really punish the rim in transition. A standout performer at the Kenny Anderson showcase, Harris has the athleticism to stand out in a camp with other college prospects. Harris has had some impressive moments shooting the ball from the outside as well. Harris seems like a guy who has flown under the radar in this class, but he’s somebody who could make an impact with a college looking to push the pace.
Jaiden Guice Jaiden Guice 6'2" | CG Westerville South | 2021 State OH , 6’2 GC Westerville Central 2021: Guice can play both the point and off guard positions, but I threw him in with the SG because I think that will be his primary position at the next level. Guice is a tough shot maker who can really knock down shots off the dribble. I’d like to see Guice create more space with his dribble and improve as a passer, but Guice is intriguing regardless. Currently holding an NAIA offer, Guice should be getting scholarship level interest.
Malcolm Curry Malcolm Curry 6'2" | SG Wayne | 2022 State OH , 6’1 SG Huber Heights Wayne 2021: Curry is a guy I haven’t gotten my eyes on this season, as I’m planning on making the trip for the rematch with Centerville. Curry is currently scoring 11.7 PPG with 3.1 APG playing with a very talented Wayne roster. Another guard with some explosive athleticism. Curry is an inconsistent shooter as in two games he’s made seven 3-pointers and in the other nine games he’s only made four.
Jackson Izzard Jackson Izzard 6'2" | SG Alder | 2021 State OH , 6’2 SG Jonathan Alder 2021: Izzard is a two sport stud who holds interest from small college programs in both football and basketball. He’s put the Alder offense on his back this season, as they are unbeaten right now. Izzard is somebody I have a limited viewing experience so he’s a guy I’m much less confident on my evaluation on relative to others on this list.
BJ Busbee BJ Busbee 6'2" | SG Lutheran East | 2021 State OH , 6’2 SG Lutheran East 2021: Busbee is a microwave scorer who can get hot in a hurry. I unfortunately didn’t get to see Busbee in my one game watching the Falcons this season. I did catch them over five times last season, so I know that Busbee can create his own look and space the floor for a team with size.
Justin Lovette Justin Lovette 5'11" | SG LaSalle | 2021 State OH , 5’11 SG La Salle 2021: Lovette is one player I’ve never gotten to see in person, but his stats in the GCL-South intrigue me. Lovette is scoring 18.1 PPG, which leads the conference. 2.8 APG and 3.4 TO is discouraging, but as a scorer and athlete Lovette checks the boxes. Lovette has already shot 97 free-throws this season, showing his aggressiveness in getting to the basket.
