The Rockets came out firing on all cylinders tonight. They took the lead early and never looked back. It looks like New Rockford/Sheyenne has all the pieces to be a difficult matchup in March.

He started the game with a short pull-up jumper that he kissed off the glass. After that, he never looked back. He plays the top of the zone when they press full court, which is impressive for a 6’7” player. Evan is a pure shooter with a soft shot from the line. He has crafty post moves on the block and good feet. Evan blocks and alters shots on defense. I was impressed with how hard he sprints the floor on makes and misses. He dominates on the boards. Evan does not just grab the ball when it is close to him, he tracks and attacks the ball. He had multiple points off tip-ins and offensive rebound second chances. I was impressed with his left-handed finish off a lob pass in transition. He set a few hard back-screens tonight that showed he cares about getting his teammates open. I like his effort when fighting for position in the post. He seals the defense deep in the paint which leads to point-blank shots once he gets the ball.
2. John Grann John Grann 6'3" | SG New Rockford/Sheyenne | 2021 State ND (2021) |6-3 G| New Rockford/Sheyenne – 13 points in the game. John has a smooth quick jump-shot. He also has a nice pull-up J from the 3-point arc. John is a good on-ball defender. I was impressed with his corner triple before halftime and his quick feet when getting set to shoot. I liked how he pushed the rock up the floor in transition. He had an impressive offensive rebound tip-in. John is a great athlete. His mid-range game was looking good tonight.
3. Nick Berglund Nick Berglund 6'4" | PF New Rockford/Sheyenne | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-4 F| New Rockford/Sheyenne – 11 points in the game. Nick is a big lefty who is fleet-footed. He blocks shots on defense and grabs rebounds on both ends like they are going out of style. I was impressed with how he passed out of the post to a teammate for a wide-open in-rhythm three-pointer. He looks to be a great free-throw shooter. I was impressed with his efforts on the O-glass. Nick had a smooth baseline pull-up jumper that showed his versatility.
4. Cole Hendrickson (2021) |6-3 F| Lakota – He can finish around the hoop with both hands. He is a big strong player. I like his soft touch when finishing. Cole is a great cutter that led to multiple buckets. He is a crafty player when in the lane and finds a way to get the bucket.
5. Zach Gibson (2024) |5-9 G| Lakota – He is a quick player and a smart cutter. Zach shoots it well from beyond the arc. He has a slick pull-up game. I was impressed with how fluid he shoots it.
6. Ross Thompson (2024) |6-2 F| Lakota – He had a great offensive rebound put-back bucket. Ross has a nice feel for the game and a pull-up jumper. I was impressed with his left-handed finish in traffic.
7. Koven Walford (2021) |6-0 G| New Rockford/Sheyenne – He put down a couple of three-pointers tonight. I liked his corner triple in the first quarter and the triple in the 4th. Koven has a nice shot fake.
8. Hunter Johnson (2021) |6-2 F| New Rockford/Sheyenne – He is a physical player with impressive countermoves in the post. I liked his spin move against contact. He is a smart cutter that leads to buckets.
9. Roman Steffan (2021) |5-10 G| Lakota – A shooter from deep. He has a soft high arcing shot. I like his hustle and effort.
