The state RPI is set to come out this Monday as well as many onlookers see were they stack up when it comes to their rank based on their opponents played. We take a dive into what makes these Top 5 teams the top 5.

1.American Fork 7-2
With solid wins over Timpanogos, Layton and Bingham AF is who we thought they would be. Their lone two losses came to Wasatch Academy. One loss to Wasatch was without Jaxon Kohler Jaxon Kohler 6'9" | PF Southern California Academy | 2022 #49 Nation CA-S and the second one with Kohler was a nail bitter. AF has some good prospects in Jace Chatman Jace Chatman 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2021 State UT and Tobey Schmitt Tobey Schmitt 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2021 State UT . With some prctice under their belt now, they will be tough. January 15th will be the PG showdown.
2.Pleasant Grove 11-0
Many have other teams ranked ahead of PG but you cannot blame theme for beating every team in front of them. They are getting some excellent play from sophomore guard Jordan Ross Jordan Ross 6'3" | PG Link Academy | 2023 #132 Nation MO . Big fella Issac Vaha is playing extremely well and they are getting major production from sharp shooter Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT . They have 6 solid wins against Farmington, Alta, Davis, Corner Canyon, Olympus and Timpview. Tough game next week against Bingham.
3.Westlake 9-1
Westlake’s lone loss to Corner Canyon came early in the season. The Thunder look a lot better and Hunter Phillips Hunter Phillips 6'9" | C Westlake | 2021 State UT is tough. They also have a plethora of guards that can come in and defend but also score. Westlake thumped a quality Juan Diego team by 40 as they dismantled their 2-3 zone while their starters sat the 4th quarter. One of the best defensive teams in the state.
4.Corner Canyon 10-2
Corner has two losses against Pleasant Grove and Skyridge. Their Skyridge loss came on a 3rd game in a row which is tough early. Corner is always in mid-season form. Trace Ross Trace Ross 6'3" | PG Corner Canyon | 2021 State UT and Carter Welling Carter Welling 6'10" | PF Corner Canyon | 2021 State UT look good. Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT is playing really well. Corner has a mixture of everything on the roster that can help them avenge those two early losses.
5.Skyridge 8-1
With a loss to a top 5A team in Timpanogos and everyone above them with losses to each other we place Skyridge at 5. Duncan Reid Duncan Reid 6'4" | SG Skyridge | 2021 State UT is having a great senior year scoring from all over the floor. Parker Christensen Parker Christensen 6'4" | PG Skyridge | 2021 State UT , Dalin Yates and Nick Holland Nick Holland 5'11" | PG Skyridge | 2022 State UT make for a tough team that plays well together and they are ready to compete against anyone.
