With a few pre-season games left on the slate, we are starting to see some good basketball being played across the state. Teams are starting to really find their rotation. The state RPI is set to come out this Monday as well as many onlookers see were they stack up when it comes to their rank based on their opponents played. We take a dive into what makes these Top 5 teams the top 5.

1.American Fork 7-2

With solid wins over Timpanogos, Layton and Bingham AF is who we thought they would be. Their lone two losses came to Wasatch Academy. One loss to Wasatch was without Jaxon KohlerJaxonKohler6'9" | SFAmerican Fork | 2022StateUT and the second one with Kohler was a nail bitter. AF has some good prospects in Jace ChatmanJaceChatman6'4" | PGAmerican Fork | 2021StateUT and Tobey SchmittTobeySchmitt6'4" | CGAmerican Fork | 2021StateUT. With some prctice under their belt now, they will be tough. January 15th will be the PG showdown. 

2.Pleasant Grove 11-0

Many have other teams ranked ahead of PG but you cannot blame theme for beating every team in front of them. They are getting some excellent play from sophomore guard Jordan RossJordanRoss6'0" | PGPleasant Grove | 2023State#85NationUT. Big fella Issac Vaha is playing extremely
