Here are the top players from tonight’s game:
1. Gage Anderson (2021) |5-10 G| West Fargo Sheyenne – 29 points with 7 three-pointers. Gage was on fire tonight! He had a nice quick backdoor cut and basket to start the game. After that, he began his 3-point shooting onslaught. I like how he gets his feet ready before the ball gets to him when spotting up for a shot. He plays and shoots with a cool demeanor. Gage did not only score from beyond the arc. He attacked the basket and finished at the rim. To sum up his night I would say, “Gage was red hot and knocked down 3’s with ease”. Sheyenne is a very good team, with Gage scoring like this the Mustangs are close to being unstoppable.
2. Jah’Heem Leake Jah’Heem Leake 6'8" | C West Fargo Sheyenne | 2021 State ND (2021) |6-8 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – 20 points with 3 three-pointers. He was impressive shooting outside tonight, he made back-to-back triples in the first half. I like watching him on the glass, he is great at high pointing the ball. Jah’Heem had a nice physical post-up finish and he showed off a slick spin-move in doing so. He is great at blocking and altering shots. I was impressed with his soft touch when throwing high-low passes. Leake has a new dunk to add to his highlight-reel. The slam was in transition, one-handed, rim-rocking, extremely athletic, and he was fouled on the finish.
3. Brady Walthall Brady Walthall 6'0" | PG Moorhead | 2021 State MN (2021) |6-0 G| Moorhead – 23 points with 6 three-pointers and 5 of those came in the first half. Brady has a quick effortless shot that he can get off in a hurry. He was on a roll in the first half against the Sheyenne zone. Brady is a quick athletic guard that uses a burst of speed to create separation.
4. Dominic Dosmann (2022) |6-8 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – 9 points in the game. He altered and blocked shots around the rim tonight. He had couple of impressive physical finishes tonight. Dominic is an active player that does the little things to help his team. He was physical on the boards tonight.
5. Belind Alemadi Belind Alemadi 6'1" | PG Moorhead | 2021 State MN (2021) |6-1 G| Moorhead – 12 points in the game. He attacked the rim early and had an impressive physical finish. I like his pull-up jumper, it is smooth. Belind is a nice athlete that can finish in a variety of ways around the iron. He is at his best when playing fast and in transition.
6. Jacksen Moni Jacksen Moni 6'9" | PF West Fargo Sheyenne | 2021 State ND (2021) |6-10 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – 9 points in the game. He did not record big numbers in the game but his presence on defense made a big difference in this one. Jacksen had a great dime to start the game passing to Anderson on a backdoor cut. I was impressed with his long outlet passes that led to easy buckets. Jacksen is a force on the glass. I liked when he attacked off the bounce in the second half.
7. Michael Nhial Michael Nhial 6'7" | SF West Fargo Sheyenne | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-6 F| West Fargo Sheyenne – 10 points with 2 made triples. I like the flow and ease he plays with.
